If you are thinking about visiting Natchez, just do it! An incredibly beautiful city perched above the Mississippi River, and a city that holds dearly onto its past. And when you go, book your stay at Linden House. The home has a history that you need to not only see, but stay in and become a part of. The owners are attentive to every detail, rooms are spacious and full of beautiful antiques. Everything has been modernized so comforts are not lacking. Staff makes a beautiful home-made breakfast in the stunning dining room. Cocktail hour is either on spacious front porch or more intimate back porch. Go!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Linden Bed and Breakfast! The place is cozy, quiet and the rooms are spacious and clean. The garden is beautiful, I recommend sitting there with a glass of wine and the owners cat by your side. The kind owner also helped us save a kitty, that we found in the garden. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The Linden is a quaint lovely B & B. I loved my room (Celice). It was very bright and spacious. The outdoor porch was a great spot for our group to gather for cocktails and conversation. Very cozy! We all loved the bacon served with breakfast many of the mornings we were there! David is a wonderful host and has great stories of the Inn!

Enjoy true Southern hospitality when you stay at the lovely Linden Historic Bed & Breakfast! Owners Marjorie and David provided great suggestions for local restaurants and gave us keen insight into the history of Natchez and their lovely home, which has been in Marjorie’s family for many years. Great discussions of our days’ tours of many historic homes on the Spring Pilgrimage and other local attractions were held in the evening on the gracious back porch. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully appointed, and each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in Linden’s beautiful dining room. The service was always friendly. It was one of my most memorable vacations – Natchez should be on your list to visit and when you do, I highly suggest booking rooms at Linden!

I’ve been thinking for several days about what I could write that would do justice to Linden. Quite simply, I think it’s one of the nicest, most comfortable places I’ve ever stayed. As we were there in February, definitely low season, we had the opportunity to get to know two fabulous people at the house, Jennifer, the property manager, and Miss Bertha, who made delicious breakfasts for us every morning. (My husband, who is a Jersey boy, has never been a big fan of grits, but he said if I made them like Miss Bertha does, he’d eat them every day!). Both of these lovely women patiently answered questions we had about Natchez, and it was just delightful talking with them. One of the great things about traveling is meeting people and learning about who they are and how they live, and talking with these ladies was like being with old friends. They are absolute gems! Jennifer helped with sightseeing recommendations and just generally made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was chilly for most of our stay, but we were cozy and warm. Being a porch person, I was determined to spend time on the gallery despite the chill, and having the coffee bar right there kept us warm with hot tea and coffee. I’m very sensitive to the environment, and the living space made me feel really good. Our room, the Feltus room, was beautifully appointed and my soul felt so at ease there. The room was flooded with light with the shades up and felt so inviting. The bed was so comfortable, too. I don’t think I’ve ever slept on such luxurious sheets. The Linden website says “Come as guests, leave as family,” and that’s exactly the way I feel about the place. I made 2 new friends in a wonderful place in Mississippi, and I sure am sorry that I had to leave.

Highly recommend to anyone staying in Natchez! We will definately stay here again. Beautiful home and grounds decorated for Christmas. Owners were cheerful, helpful and informative about the history of the house and Natchez. Looked forward to the breakfast in the elegant dining room each morning. Wrap around porch with rocking chairs, blankets, and coffee bar was a great place to relax and meet other guests. Rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, clean and updated. Period antiques throughout. Felt like a step back in time but with modern amenities. You must stay here!
