After taking the subway to Nara Station, you need to take a taxi to get to the hotel. The hotel is opposite Wakakusa Mountain, and there are deer outside. The hotel is a traditional Japanese hotel with a very Japanese style. It is recommended for friends who like Japanese style. But remember that children are also considered people. Don't book only 2 adults for two adults and one child. The hotel can walk to Kasuga Taisha Shrine, but if you want to leave the hotel to Nara, there is no Uber or taxi. You can only take the local bus to go out, which is indeed a bit troublesome.

Very satisfied, especially the breakfast can be packed and eaten on the mountain. Enjoy this Wakakusa Mountain alone.

Stayed one night with two meals and really liked this hotel. The service is very thoughtful. Although it is a historical place, it is very clean. The hot spring room is not big, but I was the only one using it both times, so I felt comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were served in the room. Not many hotels offer such service in the room nowadays. The food tasted good but the portion was a bit too big to finish. The hotel is inside Nara Park. It was very pleasant to go for a walk in the early morning before other tourists arrived!

It was a very good stay experience. It is right in the park and you can walk to Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The food and accommodation at the hotel are very good, very clean, and the hot spring is very comfortable. I will recommend it to others.

The hotel is located on the hillside next to the main hall of Kasuga Shrine. The entrance is Mount Rukusa. When you enter the tatami-style room, you will see green trees outside the window. The overall location is very good! The public hot spring and the indoor bath are not very big, but probably because there are not many guests, I was the only one using it, so it feels good. The overall service is also of a certain standard, but at this price, there is still room for improvement in terms of hardware and software, especially room facilities and supplies. In addition, the included meals are only mediocre in taste, and are generally suitable for tourists who want to experience Japanese inn accommodation in scenic spots.

Maybe I had too high expectations for this hotel, I can fool Europeans and Americans... The tatami mat in the room smelled very bad. Because I had eaten meat in Kobe in the past few days, I didn't upgrade my dinner. The upgrade included meat upgrade, and there was an additional service charge for drinks. I was very disappointed with the set meal. In fact, I saw on the official English page that the upgraded dinner seemed to be 2300 per person. I forgot a little. I proactively asked in advance about the service facilities, and the reply was that there were any food allergies. I didn't meet other guests in the hot spring pool. The location is right at the door to Wakakusa Mountain. It's exposed to the sun, you can ask the hotel to borrow an umbrella. I don't recommend dinner.

A one-night stay at the Koto Ryokan was a highlight of our short trip to Nara. The location, facilities, service and food were all great. It was within walking distance of the main attractions, as well as the calm deer under the cherry trees that abounded.

The hotel is a traditional Japanese B&B located at the foot of Wakakusa Mountain in Nara Park. You can meet the docile deer babies when you walk out of the hotel. The most amazing experience of the hotel is its breakfast and dinner service. Very high quality Japanese food. The dishes for dinner are served one after another, different every day, fine workmanship, healthy and delicious. Since it is a B&B, it takes a long time to clean and tidy up, so the check-in time is after 4 pm and the check-out time is before 10 am. This makes me feel unfriendly.

Just inside Nara Park, at the foot of Wakakusa Mountain, you will see the deer when you open the door. It is a historic building with a large room. Breakfast and dinner are all eaten in the room. The waiters come to the room in advance to prepare the room and will also make the bed and put it away on time. The service is very good. You may feel that you are not free. It is a very good hotel. A good choice for a slow-paced vacation. There are not many guests in the hotel, and there are no other people in the hot spring every time. There are also family hot springs. The meal is Japanese kaiseki cuisine, which is different every day and is pretty good. The transportation is actually very convenient. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the bus terminal of Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Many buses can go to Nara Kintetsu JR and even Horyuji Toshodaiji Temple.

The service and environment are very good. One day there was mud on the shoes, but the next day the black leather shoes were polished and sparkling. It’s a very traditional Japanese inn. The proprietress wears a kimono every day👘 and puts on beautiful makeup. When the bed is made every night, a sunny doll will be given as a gift. The breakfast is rich and delicious. You can feel it in the picture below. It is breakfast for two days respectively. The dinner is even more sumptuous. It is impossible to take a group photo of each dish. The scenery outside the Japanese room window is very good, and it feels like being deep in nature. It's very cold in winter, and the lack of heating in the bathroom is a bit disappointing.

I wanted to stay in a Japanese-style B&B, and I searched for this one which had great reviews, so I decided to stay there even though the price was a bit expensive. 1. The location is excellent, right at the foot of Mount Wakakusa, within walking distance of Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Nara Park, and Todaiji Temple. 2. It is a really traditional Japanese-style room. There is a heater in the room. A lady will serve you dinner and breakfast, and you will also sleep on the tatami for one night. 3. There is no floor heating in the outside room, toilet and bathroom where you enter the house. It is still a bit cold in winter, thanks to the heated toilet seat. 4. Experience the private soup. The service staff will prepare everything and call to inform. Then the private soup area will be invisible and no one can be seen. It is very private and recommended.

I stayed in this hotel eight years ago, and I still liked it the second time I came. The quiet environment, quiet hotel and quiet service are what I imagine Nara to be like.

Very good experience! Dinner is delivered to the room, breakfast can be enjoyed while sitting on the hillside, and there is freshly milked milk that morning! Super awesome!
