When my and I we checked-in at the hotel on November 30, 2024, the female clerk at the reception desk was neither helpful nor welcoming . In fact, she insisted on giving us double room on the 2nd floor of the hotel, whereas I had paid and reserved for a Comfort Triple Room, Mountain View (Vesuvio View). After check-in and seeing the assigning double room, I returned to the reception desk and again reminded the female clerk that had reserved a Comfort Triple Room and suggested to review my reservation at her computer. She did as I had suggested and admitted that indeed I reserved a triple room. After which, she said that we could move from the double room on the second floor to one of the remaining two triple rooms on the third floor. After viewing the two rooms on the third floor, both of which had no mountain view and pretty unattractive and badly located, my wife and I decided to stay in the double room on the second floor. While sitting on a sofa close to the reception desk, I heard that clerk was talking with hotel owner about my complaint for not having been given the room I reserved and paid for. After a few minutes, the hotel owner left without acknowledging my presence or apologize to me for having been given an inferior room. This whole experience was very unpleasant and the behavior of the reception clerk and that of the hotel owner were unprofessional and unsatisfactory. I strongly believe that should be compensated, in some way, for the aggravation and the bad experience my wife and had to endure.
