Napul'è 19

I chose this B&B for its location, which is indeed very convenient. The waterfront is right behind it, and there are good places to eat nearby. It's in a beautiful building with a doorman always present. Other than that, I wasn't very happy. The rooms were soundproof; I was in a room that faced the back of a restaurant where people were talking and unloading materials. Not to mention the rooms next door, which felt like people were in the room. The main entrance door was also very loud; you could always hear who was coming and going. The beds were uncomfortable and hard, and the pillows were equally uncomfortable. I stayed for four nights; there was no dresser or closet, just a sort of drying rack to hang clothes and put down my suitcase. The bathroom shower didn't even have a shelf to put soap on. Everything was very basic. I paid €340 because I deducted €20 for the breakfast that was guaranteed when I booked, and instead I only got two croissants and two discount store toast with jam.

The room is fine, but the sound isn't great; you can hear the traffic at all hours. It's best not to book breakfast: the bar has limited choices, just a croissant (old from the day before) and a coffee/cappuccino (without water). It's better to go to the beachfront bar (€7 for an excellent breakfast).
