The hotel has a beautiful authentic design, a beautiful view from the room, but the wifi worked poorly for us. The location is good, but only for those who like to walk and not shave, walk uphill a couple of kilometers.

Great view, friendly staff
Cons:
Rooms are very outdated, the toilet button didn't work properly in two rooms. The noise from outside bikes ia very loud and won't give you peace at nights
The roof garden is almost everynight reserved for weddings
There are many stairs to come down from top (about 120)

Just above Naples with a panoramic view of the bay and Mt Vesuvius. Exquisitely restored with many original frescoes and artifacts. The top floor garden pool and restaurant are divine.You can walk to the Spanish Quarter and the water but it was so nice to be out of the bustle of the city. The rooms are simple but have everything you need.

Un des rares hôtels avec piscine que j'ai trouvé à Naples. La piscine est effectivement là, et est bienvenue en été, avec une vue panoramique magnifique sur Naples. Bon elle ferme à 17h ce qui est assez frustrant mais on s'en est assez bien arrangé finalement. Pour le reste l’hôtel est assez baroque et original. Au gré des couloirs vous trouverez des œuvres d'art, des santons, une église... ou la piscine. Les chambres sont ok, la mienne était grande avec une vue spectaculaire, la clim' est bruyante, mais indispensable. Globalement l’hôtel a un air et les symptômes d'un palace qui se maintient mais qui commence à manquer de modernité. Service et petit déjeuner sont bons sans être exceptionnels. Pour finir l'emplacement est super, vous pouvez facilement accéder au centre historique à pieds, si l’ascension des escaliers au retour ne vous fait pas peur! Globalement ça reste un bon choix pour Naples, même si à quasi 300eur la nuit pour la chambre triple, je trouve la note un peu excessive

The hotel is lovely. The breakfast is fantastic. But be warned, do not book airport transfer with the hotel. We had a flight delay and missed our connection. We were still charged 60 euros even though we contacted them several hours before they were due to pick us up. We were told we could not reschedule, but would have to pay double for them to pick us up from our new flight. Enjoy the hotel, but make your way there from the airport on your own

We loved this hotel!. Friendly staff, great ambiance (views of the Mountains, the city, Art, and old world charm), rooftop garden and pool, and complimentary breakfast. If we ever returned to Naples we would stay here again. A 5 star experience for a 4 star price. Some suggestions to make this even better would be to 1: add a ramp at the entrance for incoming suitcases 2. Open the pool till 9pm at least in the summer. The only downfall of being at the top of the mountain is that you have to take the funicular down/up and or take a taxi to get to places. I would also be careful of the Spanish Quarters located at the bottom of the steps across the street from the hotel, its rather gritty there, but we did find some good eateries there.
