I was looking forward to a fantastic birthday weekend in Napa and had chosen Napa Inn Downtown based on the reviews. Upon arrival, we waited over 30 minutes in the lobby without being greeted or assisted by any staff. When someone finally did attend to us, the experience already felt off, as customer service was subpar. The disappointment grew when we were taken to our room. To my surprise, the bathroom was completely open with no privacy at all. This was particularly frustrating because I had called ahead of time to confirm that the bathroom was private and spacious enough, and was assured that it was. Feeling uncomfortable with the setup, we immediately raised a complaint and requested a refund, to which the hotel agreed. However, the experience worsened when I received a call a day later, after already moving to another hotel, informing me that they would not honor the refund. The lack of professionalism and misleading information tainted what was supposed to be a special birthday weekend. I would not recommend this hotel based on their poor service and dishonest communication.
