I had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn Aquapark Hotel. The location was convenient, and the amenities made my trip enjoyable. The hotel is in the heart of downtown Jiankang Road and Zhonghua Road, just a 5-minute walk from the metro station (Green Line 3- 夫子庙 and Blue Line 1 - 三山街)and central for major attractions. There were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, making it very convenient. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff ensured fresh towels and toiletries were provided daily. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, allowing for a great night’s sleep. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Aquapark to anyone visiting the area. It offers great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again.

Nice to be back at the Kempinski after a 4 year hiatus from Asia travel. Hotel still looks amazing and has wonderful staff, excellent rooms and very good value. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting for business that needs to locate in this area of the city.

Wonderful hotel located in the heart of the city, only a couple minutes’ walk to the nearest metro station and a shopping mall directly downstairs. Staff were courteous and friendly - front desk kindly offered an upgrade to their Panorama city-view room upon check in, which had a view that lived up to every expectation. Room was extremely spacious to the point of even feeling a bit empty, bathroom amenities were nice and new, zero water pressure issues on floor 39 :)
Overall had a very comfortable stay here, would definitely recommend to travellers visiting Nanjing!

The rooms are quite dated. Initially, I was assigned a 'Zhuangyuan Room' (a premium room type), which had large cracks on the walls and felt quite dim. I had originally booked a Deluxe Room. When I inquired at the front desk about the room change, they explained that the Zhuangyuan Room was an upgrade due to its higher floor. However, I requested to be moved back to a Deluxe Room. I believe hotels shouldn't change a guest's room type without prior notification, especially when the alternative isn't an actual improvement. I'm unsure of the specific reasoning behind this. Eventually, both of my rooms were switched back to Deluxe Rooms, and they were conveniently located opposite each other, which was a good arrangement. That being said, even the Deluxe Rooms had cracks on the walls. This hotel is really in need of a renovation.
Regarding service, when our car arrived at the entrance, the parking attendant at the door seemed to intentionally ignore us when we tried to ask for clarification on the parking instructions, as we hadn't heard him clearly. Ultimately, it was the bellhop who helped us with our luggage that clarified the situation. The service from this parking attendant is definitely not up to the standard expected from a five-star hotel.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Confucius Temple, making it very convenient for exploring both the Confucius Temple area and the Qinhuai River. Breakfast was decent. On our last morning, during breakfast, a gentleman who appeared to be a manager was exceptionally warm and welcoming to guests, and his oversight of the restaurant service was very impressive.

The hotel is just about a 3-minute walk from the subway station, right next to the Fuzimiao Scenic Area archway. The location is incredibly convenient, making it ideal for experiencing the Qinhuai River by night.
The rooms are generously sized, and the decor is distinctive, featuring a charming Republic of China-era style that's very photogenic.
The restaurant is located on the 6th floor, a beautiful rooftop garden where you can enjoy breakfast with scenic views – it was incredibly relaxing.
A huge highlight was the butler service! They were incredibly attentive and responsive to every request, even offering helpful local tips and recommendations, which was truly thoughtful. Complimentary snacks, fruits, beverages, and even facial masks were always promptly refilled, really enhancing our travel experience and filling us with a sense of well-being!

Excellent location. Upgrade to suite as Marriott bonvoy member. Great location near the middle of city. Elevator is the only gripe as its quite slow and inaccurate. Watched China win table tennis at Olympics and also a medal in swimming from comfort of room. Very enjoyable. Front desk personnel very good. Offered me a free drink as some of the hotel info in compendium was not correct. Always enjoy Marriott hotels!

The location is simply fantastic, nestled right within the Laomendong (Old East Gate) scenic area, directly opposite the Jinling Art Museum. Each room is an independent courtyard suite, and the decor and design are quite pleasing. It's ideal for a romantic stay, especially if you appreciate traditional Chinese aesthetics or enjoy wearing Hanfu for photos. The mini-bar offers complimentary drinks, cookies, and candies. The bathroom features a convenient wet/dry separation, a smart toilet, and a humidifier. The shower gel and shampoo are of good quality. There's an outdoor swimming pool. Breakfast options are somewhat limited, but the taste is quite good.

The hotel is in a very good location, opposite Laomendong and close to Confucius Temple. The service of Xiaowu and Xiaogu at the front desk is also very good, and they can help solve any problems. The room environment is simple and elegant, clean and high-end.
I like the ancient style, antique fragrance, Qinhuai River, elegant and refined, the harbor of the soul... a good place for leisure and vacation! Come again next time.

The hotel is in a great location, short walk to train station. Room is dated but still clean and comfortable. Noted that they have started doing renovation on certain floors The room facilities & toiletries are good, especially the powerful Laifen hairdryer😍 which is lacking in other hotels. Free minibar too!😍
Front desk staff are warm & helpful. Special thanks to Tan Liang who helped to us with Didi Taxi booking and asked the doorman to tell the driver to drop us at the specific entrance at the Railway Station.
