Hotels in Confucius Temple/Qinhuai River Scenic Area, Nanjing

This is my fifth night staying here, and I can honestly say if you're coming to Nanjing, you won't regret choosing this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. What's most memorable is the service – it's absolutely exceptional, truly outstanding! There's also a free washing machine, which is convenient for doing laundry and drying clothes. The location is also ideal, making it easy to get to Fuzimiao and Laodongmen. Catching a Didi (ride-share) is also a breeze; you just walk a few steps out the door and you're good to go. Seriously, there's really nothing to fault here.

Perfect location, taxi can be dropped off right in front of the hotel, and across the street from the hotel is the famous laomendong area, where you can find the amazing nanjing impression restaurant, this one is the more impressive looking space than other branches. Professional, well organised, rooms are cleaned and tidied, water, tea, and toiletries replenished every day. Plenty common areas to use, convenient, great value for money.

If you're visiting Nanjing, you absolutely *must* experience a stay in the Yihe Yaju King Room at Qin Huai Ren Jia! This place perfectly blends the ancient charm of Jiangnan into every corner of the room: the walls are adorned with evocative ink wash paintings, delicate bamboo woven decorations grace the corners, and the solid wood floors feel silent underfoot, exuding a serene elegance. The antique-style lamp by the bed casts a warm glow, illuminating the carved bed frame and the plain-colored bed canopy, instantly melting away the fatigue of your travels. The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from attractions like Fuzimiao and Laomendong. You can spend your day exploring Nanjing's historical sites and then return to your antique-styled room for a restful evening. It's quiet, stylish, incredibly comfortable, and definitely my top recommendation for accommodation in Nanjing!

I am not very pleased with my stay at this hotel. While walking along the corridor to my room, I noticed a smell that was musty and the corridor was heavily deodorised. When I used the toilet for the first time, it choked and I had to call the reception to send the someone to clear the toilet bowl. The manager Ying Yue told me that I must not throw the toilet paper into the toilet bowl but instead throw it into the dust bin that was beside the toilet bowl. I was flabbergasted because throwing the toilet paper into the dust bin would mean that the toilet would smell of faeces and urine. Now I understand why the corridor has a musty smell and why it must be deodorised to cover the smell. She said that all hotels in Nanjing had this plumbing problem. I asked her why wasn't there a notice in the toilet to tell guests what to do with the toilet paper after using it. She replied that all local guests know they are not supposed to throw the toilet paper into the toilet bowl and it is the local Nanjing toilet culture. She also mentioned that the toilet paper Atour provided is extra thick and is not soluble, so that's another reason not to throw the toilet paper into the toilet bowl. However, she was nice enough to accompany me to the convenience store next door and paid for two packets of ordinary tissue paper. Another issue I had was the supper provided. It said from 9:30 pm to 11 pm. When we went there on the first night of our stay at 9:40 pm, the rice porridge and millet porridge were totally cold and the 3 types of buns were randomly thrown into two steaming baskets, all mixed up and cold. I asked the young staff why wasn't the buns heated. He couldn't answer. The food didn't look enough to last till 11 pm. On the last night, we went for supper again at 9:30 pm sharp. Both the rice and millet porridge were just lukewarm and I asked the two young staff why wasn't the porridge heated. One of them told me that old and young guests do not like hot porridge. This must be the most absurb statement I have heard about porridge. I think Atour should be more siincere about the supper it offers. Except for the two young staff at the restaurant, all the other reception staff and cleaning ladies were very polite and helpful.

We capped off our summer vacation, which coincided with the 80th anniversary of the Anti-Japanese War victory, with a visit to Nanjing right before the holidays wrapped up. We stayed at a hotel that's quite the influencer hotspot, and the check-in experience was fantastic. My son was absolutely delighted with the Ultraman-themed room. Steven was exceptionally detailed and helpful in his communication and coordination. The check-out arrangements were also very accommodating and flexible, ensuring a completely hassle-free stay.

After researching many hotels for our 3-day, 2-night road trip to Nanjing, we settled on Shuishanglou Hotel. The owner was incredibly friendly, and free parking is available right at the entrance. Our room was excellent, and a nice bonus was the TV's premium membership, allowing us to watch movies for free. The hotel's location is also excellent; Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) is just a short walk away, and there are convenient bus stops nearby offering direct routes to the Presidential Palace and Xuanwu Lake. Overall, we had a fantastic stay! Highly recommended. 😍😍😍

The front desk service was excellent, and the hotel's location is superb, right in Xinjiekou. They offer free parking, which is a big plus. I've been staying here since I was pregnant, whenever I visit Nanjing. This time, I was in Nanjing for my baby's medical appointment, and they thoughtfully arranged two adjacent rooms for us. That was incredibly considerate! Room 02 even has a long sofa bed that can be pulled right over to act as a bed rail, which is so practical for taking care of a baby. They also have a projector, in case you're worried about bright lights for the little one's eyes. The zero-gravity mattress is still the most comfortable. The hotel's hygiene is great, and the delivery service coverage is very wide. It's truly the best choice in the city center with excellent value for money. The front desk staff are all very attentive and thoughtful. Thank you all, I will definitely choose this hotel again next time!

After a long search for hotels before coming to Nanjing, choosing to stay at Manxin was the best decision I made. It's a very new hotel, only opened in 2025, but after half a year, there's no lingering smell. The room amenities are excellent; the mini-fridge and mini-bar have everything you need. The hotel was almost fully booked that day, but the front desk accommodated my request for a corner room facing the street. The room was spacious and even had a small walk-in closet. I enjoyed watching the bustling traffic on the street at night. The staff provided excellent service and tried their best to fulfill all requests. The housekeeping auntie was especially friendly. The hotel is clean, and the breakfast is decent. Overall, I had a great experience. It's not far from the subway station, making it convenient to get everywhere.

Extremely satisfied. The hotel's location is excellent, with direct access from the lobby to the metro, serving lines 3 and 5, making it convenient to get anywhere. The hotel has its own parking, so driving there and then taking the subway is really nice. Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) is right outside, which is great for sightseeing and dining. The hotel's decor is very cozy, and the rooms are clean and spacious. I must highlight the hotel's attentive service, especially Ningning and Kaikai, who contacted us in advance to communicate and were incredibly thoughtful and thorough, paying special attention to our child. It was a very satisfying stay.
