This trip was for the Nanjing Marathon, and I spent a lot of time deliberating over hotels beforehand. Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) highly recommended hotels in Xinjiekou, so I focused my search there. Jinling Hotel is undeniably the best in this area (not counting the unconventional Carlton, which is a different story), but the price is relatively higher. I was initially hesitant, but considering I was with my wife and child, I decided it was worth splurging for a better stay.
**Service:** First, let's talk about the service. It certainly lives up to Jinling Hotel's reputation. We arrived in the morning, and as soon as we got out of the car, the doorman proactively came to help with our luggage, very polite and attentive. Upon entering the lobby, another staff member actively opened the door, greeting us with a smile and politeness. When checking in, the front desk staff was also very polite and enthusiastic. The overall feeling was excellent, truly commendable.
**Environment:** Since I had to wake up early for the marathon the next day and didn't want to disturb my wife and child, I specifically booked a junior suite in the Jinling Tower. The room was very spacious with a logical layout. The bedroom, bathroom, and living room all had sliding doors for separation, which was a fantastic design. The room was tidy and clean. Welcome fruits and sodas were complimentary, and chargeable items were clearly marked. Thumbs up!
**Amenities:** We booked a room with breakfast. The listed price seemed to be over 100 per person, but it was definitely worth the money, and the variety was incredibly rich. As a result, there were really a lot of people eating breakfast in the morning. However, it was a bit disappointing that breakfast didn't open earlier on the day of the marathon. We missed out on breakfast that first morning. In fact, since it was the annual local major event, I saw quite a few guests getting up early for the marathon, so it might be worth considering opening an hour earlier on that day. (We ended up eating instant noodles in the room that day.)
**Location:** The hotel's location is excellent. Just turn left out of the hotel compound, and you'll find a subway entrance (Line 6), making it very convenient to get anywhere.
**P.S.:** We stayed for two nights. On the second night, in the middle of the night, we heard two strange noises outside the window, similar to equipment starting up. Both my wife and I were woken up. My wife reported the situation to the front desk when checking out. The front desk staff was very professional and polite, repeatedly apologizing and explaining it was caused by a generator or something similar. Afterward, they gave our child a jigsaw puzzle as compensation. In reality, it wasn't a major issue and didn't affect us much, but the hotel's handling of the situation was very thoughtful. I'd like to give them a separate shout-out for that.
In summary, our whole family was very satisfied with our stay at Jinling Hotel. If there's a next time, we will definitely choose Jinling Hotel again. (I didn't take any photos of the room, but it looks exactly like the official pictures.)

The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The front desk staff were wonderful and upgraded us to a suite with a fantastic view. The blackout curtains worked great, and the smart toilet was a 10/10 experience 💯. Service was efficient, the room was spacious, and the ventilation was good. The duvet was soft and I slept very comfortably, and the air conditioning and ventilation were also quite good.

The hotel is conveniently located at the Xinjiekou district, within walking distance of Zhangfuyuan metro station. There are many good eateries around.
The hotel itself is a great value. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. All the necessary amenities are provided, with generous supply of water, coffee and tea, and even soft drink in the fridge.
Service is excellent. Faye, especially, is super friendly and helpful.
A little piece of advice though: the food in the breakfast buffet should be kept warm. Also, the lighting at the pantry in the room should have a separate switch, so that it can be switched off without having to use the main switch. (Customers would definitely like to have the flexibility of keeping certain lights on.)
Overall very satisfactory.

A very nice hotel in the old town of Nanjing with friendly and helpful staff. The room was bright, clean, and equipped with everything you could need. Breakfast was served outside the hotel at a restaurant directly across the street. Guests could choose their own breakfast selection. It's recommended to experience the quiet atmosphere in the streets around the hotel early in the morning. It gets very busy during the day.

Perfect location, taxi can be dropped off right in front of the hotel, and across the street from the hotel is the famous laomendong area, where you can find the amazing nanjing impression restaurant, this one is the more impressive looking space than other branches.
Professional, well organised, rooms are cleaned and tidied, water, tea, and toiletries replenished every day.
Plenty common areas to use, convenient, great value for money.

The cleanliness and hygiene were good, but the facilities are quite outdated. Our standard double room only came with one chair, forcing one of us to stand during meals. The bathroom featured frosted glass walls, which made showering a bit awkward. Soundproofing was also poor; we could easily hear staff conversations and doors opening outside our room. Additionally, a light strip in the bathroom couldn't be turned off, which was disruptive when trying to sleep.
However, the hotel's biggest selling point is its unbeatable location: it's just 50 meters, a mere two-minute walk, from Xinjiekou Metro Exit 24. This single advantage completely overshadows all the drawbacks. The convenience of stepping directly from the metro into the hotel is simply amazing! Xinjiekou itself is a major hub, home to the iconic bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen, and most of Nanjing's attractions are only two or three metro stops away. Staying at this location truly makes up for any shortcomings.

I'm back in Nanjing for a business trip and once again chose this hotel apartment, where I stayed recently, because it's simply excellent. The room is very spacious and comfortable.
They upgraded my room again and even provided a welcome amenity.
The hotel was very busy this week, apparently due to several tour groups, so it was almost fully booked. The prices were a bit higher, but I still decided to stay here.
Thanks to the helpful front desk staff – I forgot to ask for their names, but I appreciate their assistance. The housekeeping service was also great.
The gym is still super impressive 👍, and the location is very convenient, with direct access to Metro Line 1 from B1.
I'll likely choose this place again on my next visit. Thumbs up! 👍

The young lady at the front desk was incredibly sweet and welcoming. The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to both the subway station and Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple). There are plenty of shopping options nearby. It's particularly recommended for young fans who enjoy buying 'merch' (collectibles) at Shuiyoucheng mall. Ideal for families with children and elderly members who enjoy exploring at a relaxed pace.

This hotel is located in the heart of the commercial district, right next to Deji Plaza, making shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel itself boasts a rich array of stylish amenities. Upstairs, you'll find Longyin Jiupin, a renowned Nanjing restaurant giant, and downstairs, there are two whisky and cocktail bars, balancing quality with ambiance. The interior design is elegant and highly sophisticated.
The first impression of the hotel's service was truly outstanding. The front desk proactively upgraded our room and was warm and attentive, even custom-making a cartoon room key for my child, which showed incredible thoughtfulness. The upgraded three-bedroom, 200 sqm suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable.
The main drawback was the inconsistency in service. Restaurant service was slow to respond; even if the venue was booked for an event, they should have been more proactive in attending to guests. Even less professional was hearing staff loudly discussing internal matters in public areas during the latter part of breakfast service, which was inappropriate.
In summary, this is a highly competitive hotel in terms of location, facilities, and core services. However, it needs to improve its dining service details and staff professionalism to match its high-end positioning. All in all, I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Nanjing.

Two of my colleagues recommended this place to me. I have to say, the service here is truly excellent. On the afternoon of the 6th, the front desk lady saw it was my birthday on my ID and very thoughtfully wished me a happy birthday, which was heartwarming. My child was bumped into by a cleaner moving things in the elevator, and the staff member even called to apologize, giving my child a small toy and two bottles of coke. With service like that, you can't even get mad. The room is also great; the cleaning staff do an exceptionally thorough job every day. The location is convenient for getting anywhere, and the price is quite reasonable. My child was especially happy, and we'll definitely stay here again next time we visit.

MM339603****Checking into Xinjiekou Buwan B&B, a pleasant surprise for forgetting my ID!
I made a last-minute decision to travel to Nanjing, only to realize I'd forgotten my ID when I was almost on Nanjing Road! I was terrified I wouldn't be able to check in at the B&B. I quickly contacted the B&B, and to my surprise, they replied immediately: ”Don't worry, we offer electronic check-in. Just scan your face when you arrive!”
Upon arrival, it was exactly as I expected—I scanned the QR code with my phone, passed the public security system verification, and checked in in seconds. The front desk agent even kindly said, ”Guests often forget their IDs. We're used to it!” This personalized service was instantly reassuring.
The room was even cleaner than I expected. The floor was dust-free, the bedding was pure cotton, and there wasn't a single hair in the bathroom. The best part was the excellent soundproofing. Although it faced the street, I could barely hear the traffic and slept soundly.
The location is perfect! Xinjiekou subway station is just a few minutes' walk away, and Mingwalang Food Street is just a 300-meter walk downstairs. On our first night, we had the internet-famous duck blood and vermicelli soup. Upon returning, I noticed the sensor lights in the hallway were incredibly sensitive, demonstrating a thoughtful safety feature.
I'm so glad I chose this B&B and have already recommended it to friends visiting Nanjing next week!

GGuest UserThe room is clean and tidy, the items are complete, the facilities are in good condition, the front desk staff is super nice, I chose this hotel temporarily because I came to take an exam, and I am very satisfied. In addition, although the variety of breakfast is not particularly large, the quality is very good. It can be seen that it is carefully selected, and the coffee tastes great! I will continue to book this hotel next time!

MM282162****Nanjing Yumi Hotel: The Top Choice for City Exploration, Absolutely Comfortable!
Choosing the right hotel is crucial when visiting Nanjing, and Yumi Hotel hit all the right notes for me! The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the city center. Taxis are always readily available, and it's super convenient to take the subway. Whether you're heading to tourist spots or shopping areas, there's no need for detours, making traveling with luggage a breeze. The most pleasant surprise was discovering several snack streets hidden nearby. After a day of exploring, I could easily grab some duck blood and vermicelli soup or plum blossom cake on my way back – a foodie's paradise!
The moment I stepped into the room, I was completely impressed. The facilities are brand new, and the room was spotlessly clean, even the corners were immaculate, which made me feel very at ease. The bedding was a major plus; the duvet was just the right thickness for Nanjing's climate, light and airy, and the pillows had the perfect balance of softness and support. After a day of travel, I could simply lie down and enjoy a peaceful night's sleep.
Upon check-in, I also received fresh welcome fruit and a complimentary Cotti Coffee. The mini-fridge in the room was stocked with free water and sugar-free Coke. These thoughtful details instantly melted away my travel fatigue. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. It's perfect for both tourists and short-term travelers. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Nanjing!

GGuest UserThe room amenities were quite good and functional. The laundry room on the 3rd floor, equipped with washers and dryers, was very convenient, though you might encounter a wait during peak hours. The room was satisfactorily clean, with daily housekeeping service. The hotel's location is excellent, just about a 100-meter walk from the subway exit, making it incredibly convenient. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating; we could always ask the front desk for more bottled water if needed.

__WeChat374557****Qingmuli Hotel is located on the fifth floor of Wansha Business Building. The whole house is equipped with ”Xiaodu Xiaodu” intelligent control. The overall hotel is good. The front desk service is beautiful and the room type is upgraded for free. This is something that deserves praise. When I checked out, a bracelet fell in the room. I only discovered it when the front desk staff called me to inform me. Based on this point, there is nothing wrong in choosing this hotel. The most important point is that the price is not expensive and affordable!

MM41676****The hotel can be reached in 5 minutes straight from Exit 3 of the Daxinggong Subway. Downstairs is Xiao Panji Duck Blood Fans, as well as McDonald's, Luckin, Starbucks, Crab Roe Noodles, etc. It is also very close to Kexiang, so you can order it. Lots of good takeaways. The laundry room is clean. However, the floor height is a bit low, and tall people may find it a bit boring.

AAnonymous UserThe price is a discount, but the quality of the tenant next door is too bad. I woke up at 11 o'clock in the evening next door. The tenant next door smiled and kept making noise until 2 am (the sound was very loud). I really couldn't stand the front desk. Fortunately, the front desk was good and actively dealt with it. I really don't understand the wonders of the world. It's really all people, the quality is too bad, don't rest, speechless 😓

GGuest UserThe location is very suitable, it is very convenient to go anywhere, very close to the subway entrance. There is also a shopping street nearby, which is very good. The room size is also OK, the lighting is a bit dim, but it is not a big problem. The screen window is a little dusty, which needs to be cleaned in time. It is very convenient to store luggage for free. The sound insulation is average.
