Driven by the excellent food and service at the Horizon Club, I switched from Shangri-La Yangzhou to Shangri-La Nanjing, embarking on another culinary adventure.
1. **Location**: The Shangri-La Hotel Nanjing boasts an excellent location. It's just one subway stop from Nanjing Railway Station, and the hotel is right next to the subway exit, making it incredibly convenient for exploring other attractions by metro.
2. **Guest Room**: A huge thank you to Manager Xiao Jiang at the Horizon Club for arranging the only lake-view suite on the 41st floor and for granting me a late check-out until 3 PM. The room was spacious and bright, with a generously sized living room and bedroom, both featuring full floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of Purple Mountain and Xuanwu Lake. However, as the hotel has been open for some time, the room design inevitably had a few drawbacks. Firstly, there was no separate walk-in closet in the suite; I had to go into the washroom to change. Secondly, the luggage counter was rather small and high, which would be inconvenient for guests with a lot of luggage. Thankfully, the housekeeping staff quickly brought a luggage rack, providing a proper spot for my suitcase. Most importantly, the toilet in the bathroom wasn't separated by a door; it was openly situated next to the vanity, which significantly compromised privacy and convenience. While not a smart toilet, the heated seat was a comfortable touch.
3. **Dining**: The Horizon Club's dining options certainly lived up to Shangri-La's standards, with breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour all being very lavish. However, perhaps due to the sheer number of guests, the management felt a bit disorganized. Not only did the kitchen's food quality seem to decline—some dishes were bland, making me wonder if salt was forgotten or if they weren't cooked evenly—but the service quality also appeared to struggle. During breakfast, I asked a Horizon Club staff member if they could get me some Laoganma chili sauce from the downstairs restaurant, but they replied they couldn't leave their post. I then asked a chef, who promised to bring it, but perhaps they were too busy or forgot, as it only arrived after I had finished my meal. It felt like Nanjing's approach was different from Yangzhou's; the upstairs and downstairs restaurants seemed strictly segregated, preventing staff from cross-fetching items. What confused me, though, was that the soup dumplings I ordered and the pan-fried dumplings I picked up were clearly from the downstairs restaurant, as they arrived a bit cold. At Shangri-La Yangzhou's Horizon Club, staff would either ask the chefs or personally retrieve items upon request. Nevertheless, I must say, the à la carte duck blood vermicelli soup, seaweed wontons, beef noodles, and Eggs Benedict at the Horizon Club breakfast were quite good.
The next day, when I had breakfast on the second floor, I discovered that, just as other reviews mentioned, the downstairs restaurant offered a much more extensive spread. There was a wide variety of Western breads and pastries, including large and fragrant caramelized egg tarts kept warm in a warmer, maintaining their fresh-from-the-oven quality. They also had trendy items like butter mochi, mochi yolk pastries, and kid-friendly treats like marshmallows, popcorn, and mini cupcakes—my eyes were truly overwhelmed by the choices. The Chinese section boasted delicious handmade soup dumplings, beef potstickers, siew mai, large pork buns, and duck blood vermicelli soup. Even the whole grain options like sweet potatoes and corn looked impressively large and generously prepared. However, when I asked the staff if I could order Eggs Benedict, they said they had never heard of it.
Honestly, when evaluating a hotel's dining, I often prioritize whether they offer handmade food, especially at breakfast. I particularly dislike places that are filled entirely with reprocessed frozen foods; it just feels very insincere. Finally, I must also thank Sherry from the hotel's pastry shop for the delicious mini cakes and mung bean cakes delivered to our room. They were a wonderful surprise and a comforting treat after being out.
4. **Scenery**: Of course, a visit to Shangri-La Nanjing wouldn't be complete without checking out their rooftop helipad, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't good, so I missed out on the rumored stunning views. However, what I was very pleased with was the short walk—just a few minutes—from the hotel to Xuanwu Lake. It happened to be the lotus season, and strolling by the lake, I was greeted by the sight of 'lotus leaves stretching endlessly green to the sky, and lotus flowers under the sun glowing with a unique red.' As far as the eye could see, vast expanses of lotus leaves, like small umbrellas, swayed in the wind, creating gentle green ripples. Pink and white lotus blossoms bloomed in profusion, dotted amongst the green foliage, appearing exceptionally clear and elegant. Colorful pleasure boats crisscrossing the lake added a vibrant touch to Xuanwu Lake.
In summary, I was generally satisfied with this stay. At check-out, I even received some delightful hotel-made palmiers, which was a lovely touch. I will definitely choose Shangri-La again on my next trip to Nanjing.

As a long-established five-star hotel, the service is absolutely outstanding – warm, attentive, and professional. The location couldn't be more convenient! The subway station is right downstairs, and Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area is directly across the street. Gulou (Drum Tower) is also very close by, making it incredibly easy to get around to all the major attractions. The hotel's buffet breakfast consistently delivers excellent quality, truly living up to its five-star standard. The views from our floor were unparalleled, offering breathtaking panoramas of Xuanwu Lake and the Nanjing cityscape. The only minor quibble is that the main entrance is at the back of the building, which took a little searching for us first-timers, especially since the front desk is located on the 23rd floor. This made our initial check-in a bit confusing! Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic!

I’ll start with the things that annoyed me about this hotel. The list is long…
1. How the hell are the rooms so expensive when the curtains are not automatically? You can’t move the curtains from the bedside. You have to get up and go move it all the way.
2. The Ac is so noisy and the only way you can turn it off is leave your bed and go right there
3. Only two switches next to the bed for the lights. All other switches by the door. In fact, it’s not a smart room though what I paid for showed they have everything. Paid almost 700 a night.
4. There’s no menu in the room and I called for menu and they said they’ll send someone but had to call back 30-45mins later and they sent someone with some kinda snack that I didn’t even ask for. Finally menu came an hour later after a series of calls.
The only thing I liked was the bathroom and the views if am being honest. I paid for the highest floor but got put in the 38floor telling me the higher floors were out meanwhile I paid for it.
One more thing, there’s bathtub but no bath soap nor salt. Like how you expect me to take a bath ????
Nahhh!!! They’ve got to put their game up!
Very Good

For my recent business trip to Nanjing, I chose to stay at the InterContinental Nanjing Zifeng, and the entire experience, from check-in to check-out, far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the Zifeng Tower area, within walking distance of the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for both business travelers and those wanting to explore attractions like Xuanwu Lake, Jiming Temple, and Laomendong. The room was well-appointed and meticulously maintained. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline and the lake, creating a truly atmospheric ambiance when the city lights came alive at night. The bedding was perfectly soft, allowing me to quickly unwind and fall asleep after a busy day. What truly impressed me the most was Alice from the front desk and her thoughtful service during a swift check-out!

This appears to be a newly opened apartment hotel, which I coincidentally found on Ctrip. Traveling with children, my primary concerns were comprehensive amenities and convenient transportation, and this apartment hotel met our fundamental needs. The basement level offers direct access to the subway station and is connected to the Hualian Centre mall. Although the mall is currently in its soft opening, there are already numerous dining options, which was very convenient. The room featured a washer-dryer combo, which was a huge help for laundry, especially during the summer heat. My only minor critique is that the bathroom is a bit on the small side. We stayed for three nights, and on one occasion, our room was unexpectedly not cleaned. I had put out the 'Please clean room' sign before we went out. When we returned later, they promptly offered to clean it, but we were quite tired and preferred to rest, so we politely declined. Nevertheless, the staff member still brought us fresh water and towels and emptied the trash, handling the situation with a very good attitude. One slight inconvenience was the longer wait time for taxis outside the hotel. This is likely due to its location within the newly opened Hualian Centre, meaning some drivers might not yet be familiar with the exact spot.

An old friend came to Nanjing to visit, and I booked this for him. He is very satisfied. The girl at the front desk was enthusiastic and efficient. She checked us in quickly and also introduced the surrounding places to visit. The room is clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, all kinds of items are of good quality, and the quiet atmosphere makes my friends very satisfied. Compared with surrounding accommodations, the price-performance ratio is very high. I will choose your house if I have a party [strong]

Although there was some renovation ongoing when I was checking in and it was delayed, but I have to say overall experience is really good. Their bathroom even have a moveable clothes rack where I can move it to the room and dry my clothing.
They even have laundry rooms on every floor of the hotel which is definitely very convenient. They also have a small fridge in their lobby where they put cold drinks and green bean drink and it was a life saviour during the almost 40 degrees weather. Their breakfast selection is also pretty good and a wide variety is available. 😁 Will go back here if I’m in Nanjing!

This e-sports hotel really exceeded expectations! The machine configuration is directly full, the graphics card and monitor are top-matched, and the picture is smooth to fly when playing games. The group battle is not stuck at all, and the hand feels absolutely dead.
The room was very clean, the keyboard and mouse were all new, there was no greasy feeling, the seat was still the kind of ergonomic chair for e-sports, and it was not tired after sitting for a long time. The sound insulation is very good, I can't hear the movement next door at all, and the immersive black is too cool.
The front desk service was also super intimate. I wanted to drink a drink in the middle of the night and sent it up quickly. I also asked if we wanted to add a blanket and the details were full. The price is also very cost-effective compared to other places in the same configuration. I will definitely come here next time I set up a black team!

The most unexpected surprise for the Spring Festival trip to Nanjing is to set this hotel. The former US embassy in China is too cost-effective, the environment is very beautiful and quiet, the security work is very good, the door is opposite the warning duty, full of security, the staff is warm and professional, the service quality is high, Also presented exquisite holiday snacks, come to Nanjing to lock here in the future.

The hotel is in a good location, close to Jiming Temple and Xuanwu Lake. Although the room is relatively small, it is very clean and tidy overall, and the windows can be opened for ventilation, which is very good.
There is a little fat brother at the front desk (I didn't see the name tag) who is really excellent. When I checked in, I put forward my room requirements, and he was able to quickly give a check-in plan, which is rare, because many five-star hotel front desks are also easy to give the wrong room after taking up their posts, because it is really not easy to match the room type, floor location and requirements. This brother is definitely a master of business 👍👍👍

AAnonymous UserThe room is very clean and the service is very good. There are three people staying and we need to add pillows. The front desk notified the cleaning lady and she delivered it within 10 minutes.
The hotel has free parking🅿️
There are underground parking lots and ground parking lots.
The parking lot is next to Yihua Hotel.
If you need to go out after checking in, you can report your license plate to the front desk for free.
There are many takeaways near the hotel.
The quilt is very clean and very comfortable to sleep.
There is a four-person table and sofa chairs in the room. It is very friendly for tourists. Nanjing is a good place to eat. You will never go wrong no matter how you order takeout.
Nanjing's local milk tea is delicious.
It's so comfortable to stay in a hotel and order takeout
When checking in, I asked for a higher and quieter room. The front desk guy helped to arrange a very good room. Great~
After checking out, the hotel staff ran out and asked whether to drive left or right, and helped guide which intersection to exit. I felt warm in my heart~
I especially like the decoration style and bathroom decoration materials of All Seasons. It would be great if All Seasons also did decoration business. If All Seasons did partial bathroom decoration or house design and decoration company, it is estimated that the business would be booming
All Seasons' ability to bring goods is really strong. I don't know if All Seasons knows it. For example, their hair dryer is a vgo^ brand. It is very comfortable to use when staying in the hotel. I checked the brand online and went to JD.com. They were all bought by Orange Hotel and All Seasons Hotel.

HHuashengziAs a newly opened hotel, the facilities are quite smart. The kids absolutely loved the AI assistant (Xiao Ai) and the robot delivery service. The self-service laundry room was a lifesaver for our family on vacation. However, during peak season, the washers and dryers were seriously in high demand; several families, including ours, were still queuing to do laundry at 2 AM! 😂
At one point, I even saw a staff member diligently folding our dried clothes from the dryer – so neatly, I couldn't have done it better myself! I was incredibly grateful for that.
The design truly stands out. While not huge, the interior design was captivating and really impressed me.
The service attitude was excellent. Even though it was peak summer holiday season and the front desk staff were incredibly busy, they remained very patient and friendly during our check-in process.
We made a last-minute decision to stay an extra night in Nanjing. When I booked, it was impulsive, so only a king room was available. I'd seen reviews about free upgrades to twin rooms, so I booked, hoping for the same luck. Unfortunately, a twin room was available when we checked in, but it required an extra 100 RMB. The next pleasant surprise came the following morning. When I inquired about paying for an adult and child breakfast, the front desk attendant, being very understanding, said, 'How much can such a small child eat so early? No need to pay for the little one.' This thoughtful gesture saved me some money.
Location: It's a bit of a walk from the subway station. Given that we average over 10,000 steps daily when exploring Nanjing, anything over 300 meters from the metro gives us pause, and over 500 meters feels a bit too far for comfort. However, since we mostly relied on taxis, and the hotel is situated in a lively district, getting a cab was always quick and easy.
The breakfast selection offered enough variety. The duck blood vermicelli was tasty, and the fruit section was my absolute favorite. The bread choices, however, were a little underwhelming.
I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Nanjing.

HHeynroThe room was very clean and tidy, the mirror was spotless, and it was also equipped with disposable toilet pads, face towels, shower caps and other supplies, which were very complete. The boss is very good. He will take the initiative to help with luggage when he checks in. You can also store your luggage when you leave the store. He will try his best to help meet any requirements. We said to go out to play, and also sent water intimately. The location is excellent, very close to the subway, and it is convenient to go anywhere. There is also Jinmao Plaza nearby, it is very convenient to eat Nanjing food stalls and drink tea. I will choose here next time I come to Nanjing!

AAnonymous UserMust have 100,000 likes 👍🏻! Let me talk about what I want to say first. The service is really good. The little brother is very caring. The first day arrived at 1 noon. The little brother came downstairs to pick us up and let us check in early. When leaving, the typhoon affected, the flight was delayed, and we originally checked out. We were storing our luggage. We got wet in the scenic spot. Contact the store. The little brother did not take a penny. Let us rest in another room! Wandering heavy rain, flight delay, soaked, nowhere to go, the little brother let us feel the warmth of Nanjing! ! Speaking back to the hotel, the hotel is very new, the sanitation is very good, the facilities are complete, Siemens refrigerator, washing dryer, clothesline, direct drinking water. Tmall Genie, very smart! ! The child also likes it very much! The location of the hotel is very good, the subway is also very close, Wuyue Plaza is within walking distance, you can go to Wuyue's Nanjing big-name stall to eat. Xuanwu Lake, the Great Wall is not far away, the net red pot sticker is downstairs, many people line up! In short, it is great value for money! ! You can rest assured!

MM506977****I haven't commented much, but this hotel is really good. Let's talk about hygiene first. The lobby is very clean as soon as you enter the door. The room is also very clean and warm. The room is large and all kinds of facilities are complete. Secondly, the front desk ladies are very enthusiastic. There are also room aunts who didn’t find their own room and asked the aunts where the room was. They were very enthusiastic to help me and helped me with my luggage. The hotel also has robots that can help deliver food. It is very convenient. The robot delivery is also very cute. There are many snacks and delicacies downstairs. I really love to eat food. This neighborhood is also quite close to the attractions. The hotel also has a free breakfast. The breakfast is very delicious. The most important thing is that the parking is very convenient. If you don’t want to drive, it’s not far from the subway. Anyway, it’s quite recommended. Recommended! ! ! ! ! !

QQinzhiyundeliuzhiqinmoThe standard room is close to the road. It is not recommended if you are a light sleeper. There is no free parking. You have to park in the National Defense Park. It costs 6 yuan/hour during the day and 1 yuan/hour after 8 pm. The price is still very affordable. There is no elevator on the second floor, so you have to carry your suitcases yourself. It is not recommended if you have heavy luggage. There is no toilet paper or soap indoors. Fortunately, we bring our own when we go out. The service attitude is generally good, and everyone is very kind. It is recommended to bring mosquito repellent when the weather is hot... It is also convenient to shop and eat downstairs.
