Nanjing Xuanwu District Hotels

Awesome location and extraordinary services!! Especially when we need to change the room from our first booking to second booking (with different family members so we have 3 different bookings), REN JUN DANIEL provided extraordinary services!! This hotel is the first Hilton (changed to Grand Metro now) in Nanjing, 10 minute from Zhong Shan Landmarks, close to every where. Although not brand new, but the services and location make up every thing. Buffet breakfast has all kinds of different style gourmet, and changing every day. Beautiful view from the window!

Clean and spacious room, close to xuanwu lake. Close to metro and Nanjing railway station. Breakfast is OK. Receptionists on the first day when arriving are willingly helpful. Only smell of tobacco painted in the room is allergically disturbing, though 2 room changed already.

The hotel is located in the center of Nanjing, near the Daxingong station, it is very convenient. It is a very modern hotel with good amenities and the breakfast is good. The only problem is that the space in the bathroom is a bit small.

Hotel was very clean with perfect location and very nice staff. Just the light of the rooms was very dim and it need some floor lamps in the living room too and hotel becomes old too . It needs a new renovation.

The location neat the lake is great and also a Metro station is not far. The room's are completely smart. everything is controlled via an Ipad. That was a cool experience. The bad service rating is due o the bad room service that barely cleaned anything. But more negative was our experince at the reception. They became hyper cautious and nevous when they saw foreigners. They scaned our passports and took the obligatory pictures arround 10 times. That was pretty nervewrecking especially as the wanted us to endure this procedure everyday.

The new hotel is located in the scenic area of Zhongshan yet remains not too far from everything - a huge contrast to the hustle and bustle downtown. Got assigned a room facing the front courtyard and it could be noisy at times when guests and locals walk past while chatting loudly. The musical fountain could also be annoying if you're not into that kind of thing. Everything in the room worked as they should be except the master lighting control, which was a bit funny - could be a wiring problem. Staff was very welcoming and polite. Security was a bit slack as they'd give you a new key card without having first check your ID.

The service is very good. The hotel is very clean. The transportation is convenient. It is also convenient to eat around. There are convenience stores and vegetable markets. It is also close to the subway station. Opposite is Zhongshan Scenic Area. In short, it is satisfactory

The room is not very big and the bed is relatively soft, which is not very friendly to people with bad waists! Parking is really convenient, with its own parking lot! The only complaint is that after checking in, I found that the air conditioner was not cooling. At first I thought it needed time to cool down. When I came back from traveling, I found that the air conditioner still did not cool down. I called the front desk and found out that the hotel's air conditioning system was broken and under repair, and it had been broken for a while! When checking in, the front desk was tight-lipped and didn't mention a word! I hope that friends who want to book a room would ask the platform or hotel in advance whether the facilities are normal before booking, so as to avoid the situation like what I encountered this time after checking in!

Built in 1930, the hotel was renovated and reopened in 2025. The Central Hotel is really highly recommended. The hotel is across the road from the Presidential Palace, a 200-meter walk from the Daxinggong subway station, and the bus stop is right outside. There are also Nanjing Library, Six Dynasties History Museum, and 1912 Block nearby. It is only one subway stop and four bus stops to Nanjing Museum, and a 1.2-kilometer walk to Xinjiekou. It is very convenient to ride a bike there. The newly renovated hotel is equipped with basic smart facilities, smart toilets and curtain controls, and the TV is very large. The service was very good. They greeted guests proactively when they met them. I even saw service staff helping guests pick up the garbage left at the door at 1:30 in the middle of the night. The wontons and duck blood vermicelli soup are must-try items when you come to Nanjing. The hotel’s breakfast also has the hotel’s signature big meat buns, which are really, really delicious. Next time I come to Nanjing, I will still choose Central Hotel.

Great location just south of Xianmen station. Quite tired looking from the outside but improves drastically upon approaching the lobby. The property is aged but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Bed is super soft, big desk and chair, couch is sturdy and the cup disinfector is a nice touch. Wifi speed is about 20 megs per second and there are tons of TV channels. Buffet breakfast had many options. Robot butlers on standby. Love the ceiling mounted showerhead. There was a fridge but it was locked, quite pointless. Overall this is easily the best place I’ve stayed in Nanjing and recommend it.
