NanJing XinJieKou YJin Hotel

The front desk service and check-in experience were good. The hotel thoughtfully provided disposable bath towels and toilet seats, and the room was clean. The hotel is located in Xinjiekou, a core area with a subway station just across the street. Transportation is convenient, and it's close to the Confucius Temple and the Presidential Palace, so the attractions are not far away.

I rarely give bad reviews, but I want to complain about this hotel. First of all, the location is hard to find in the residential area. The corridor is old and dirty. The room is too small and smelly. There is a fake window for decoration and it is not breathable at all. The stench from the bathroom kept me awake all night. The sound insulation is extremely poor. I can clearly hear the talking, laughing, and moving stools in the next room. It is worth mentioning that the service attitude is okay. I was tortured all night, looking forward to checking out as soon as possible the next morning and decisively changing hotels to avoid pitfalls. Be sure to ask clearly whether there are windows before checking in.

The hotel entrance is really ugly and dirty. The receptionists don't speak a word of English, so it's impossible to communicate without a translator. The room is nice and has everything you need, except for the towels, which are provided but are disposable. The walls and windows are poorly soundproofed, so you can hear both your neighbors and everything going on in the street. Not recommended.
