Hotels near Nanjing Confucius Temple, Nanjing

I have never felt so compelled to write a review for a hotel. Our stay at Jinling Mandarin Garden Hotel Nanjing was a disappointing one. First of all the theme room we reserved was a very small room with view of another building with absolutely no privacy. The corridor and the room reeked of cigarette smoke at all time. So much so we had to turned off the centralised cooling system and rely on a fan I requested from the front desk. Anyway the cooling system was set at 23 and felt very stuffy. The light in the toilet turned off after a certain period and the motion sensor was not the most sensitive. I paid for comfort and do not appreciate to be dictate when and how to use them. I like my room to be 20C and lights on during the time I’m in the shower however long it takes. And absolutely do not appreciate to be subjected to inhale secondhand smoke for the last 2 days. It was a birthday celebration that has been ruined, not only that you didn’t take note of the request, first was given a room without a bathtub then we finally settled with one that has one but stank with cigarettes smell and with absolutely no view. Breakfast was very average but sufficient, full unhappy staffs standing around. Coffee was excellent though. Beside the good location right next to Fuzimiao that’s nothing good about the hotel unfortunately. It takes lots of tourist groups so the breakfast area gets very busy. For the price we paid there are many more better hotels to choose from in the area. My biggest regret in this trip.

首先這家酒店有非常好的設計感，可見酒店方的品位很不錯。而且服務超好，前台不同時間值班的幾個小姐姐説話都超有禮貌，而且很貼心，外賣送來還可以送上去，環境很棒，室內環境很有設計感，門面裝潢很特別很讓人喜歡，而且出門就到瞻園路，左轉步行0.5分鐘就是夫子廟正門地理位置特別好，好評！！

While location is good, the rooms are set up like a maze with only one access points to the main lobby. So while I can see the streets from my room I could not go down to the street via staircase as the access of which are closed. So to access out of the hotel into the street one had to walk along a long hotel corridor from one end to another crossing two street… management should consider having more access points internally for convenience and safety of room guest. The room decor is excellent but I wished the lighting could be better at the wash basin area.

The hotel is new, the staff service is good and polite, requested items, such as water and tissues will soon be delivered by a robot, the room has facilities do not know how to use, immediately get staff to come to guide. The rooms are very clean, the bed, furniture, table and TV are new, with air conditioning and heating, the TV has movies, the movies are foreign, Hong Kong and local, do not spend money. **There are robots delivered to the door, do not wash down the lobby to take. There are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers each. The washing machine automatically fills the laundry detergent. You can bring your own without washing. Walk about 30 meters from the hotel, already at the subway station, downstairs is already the Confucius Temple, a little further ahead there is a shopping mall, there is Uniqlo H&M Muji.

Inspired by Li Bai's poem ”Fireworks in March in Yangzhou”, we came to the Qinhuai River and checked into Zitu Hotel, where we were warmly received. The hotel is clean, tidy, quiet and safe, with rich and varied breakfasts. The hotel is right by the river, making it convenient to go out. I forgot to take my jacket after checking out, and the clerk Tingting found out and contacted us to mail it back to us. Thank you so much!

Hotel is pretty good for economy travel, neat and in the busy location of Confucious temple area.Night view around hotel is very good with the convenience walking around till late night. Breakfast is also good with some western dishes options

Fabulous location & convenient to walkby near the Confucius temple is very convenient. Their robot service is very quick, prompt & pretty intelligent. Pretty good with breakfast & they allowed me late checkout as I had delayed lunch delivery. Definitely recommended !!

The service is superb! Front desk 小刘 and 2 other males delivered awesome services. They are well versed with the location and helped us with local Bookings and reservations with some restaurants. The room is very spacious and very convenient. The walk to the room is a bit too far. If it is nearer, it would be better especially for premium suites. But the comfortable beds after a tiring day of sight seeing ease everything. They provided all amenities throughout our stay and even gifted 苹果 for 平安夜，so thoughtful. ❤️ will stay here again the next time we are here.

The hotel is a bit old. Had to change rooms in the middle of the night due to something not working in the room. Room temperature is set by the hotel so it can get hot. Fridge didn’t work. They won’t deliver your food to your room. This means you need to go downstairs to pick up your our food. Bad way to provide a service at a five star hotel.
