We stayed here as part of a multi night tour and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was delicious and plentiful and the grounds were well kept. We cannot speak more highly of the folks at Matfam, consider if looking for budget accommodations in Nakuru.

Terrible hotel, dirty, indecent bathrooms and lack of water Beds with dirty blankets instead of mattress covers, towel (only 1!!) torn. Very humid, the published photos do not correspond to reality at all and I strongly advise against it Sweet breakfast non-existent, bread and sugar (there was no butter and the jam was in a rather disgusting metal cup)

This is more of a resort for the kenyan people rather than those doing safari. It’s like a holiday place for kenyan people. Not the cleanest, but need to remember you are in kenya… its not like the UK. The room however does have a TV and good wifi, so take a firestick or something similar to watch tv on!

Annoyingly, tripadvisor requires a 200-character written review, which I really don't want to do for some entities. This hotel certainly merits a "5" rating, especially considering where it is, but not for any specific asset. Certainly felt like an especially safe and secure place, especially with the military base just across the street.

Nice place, but no hot water in the shower. The staff at the reception waa very nice and the food was okay. We arrived when it was dark and we left early in the morning so we did not use the pool which seemed nice. There is also a tower to see the view.

The staff were lovely and the rooms clean and tidy. The pool area was lovely and well kept. The food was not the best purely down to lack of options but what was cooked was very nice. The location to lake Nakuru national park was very good (around 5/10 minutes) and away from the city which was nice.

To avoid The food is passable The room is very mediocre The mosquito net has holes and is of no use The room is permanently lit all night from a window overlooking the corridor. Great for mosquitoes The employer refused to turn it off At breakfast time you are locked in the hotel without being able to access the restaurant. 10 after you find the employee asleep to open your door In a word TO AVOID

Had it not been for the lovely staff, this would easily have ranked the worst hotel I have stayed at. Thankfully for a single night only. The shower works badly if at all, the toilet flush was broken, the sorry old mirror had so many cracks that it was a risk to dismantle it. The food - a whole different story. Bland and unexciting at lunch, the leftovers were also served at dinner - I promise you there was just 1 different item and those were the baked potatoes! And then bits of the same chicken were in the pot with the sausages at breakfast! Again though - the staff is simply great. Friendly, ready to help, smiling.
