Our handling agents in Kenya had somehow managed to get our booking wrong so after a long flight from the UK there was no room booked for us. When things were eventually sorted the hotel upgraded us to a suite as we had been hanging around in reception Very nice of them. Breakfast was exceptionally good to get us on our way for our safari

Room clean, restaurant good, good 5 star hotel. We stayed for 2 nights before our safari. breakfast buffet was very good and extensive. Front desk very accommodating to my request to get late checkout. Would recommend to anyone. We'll book again with our next safari.

Food over priced and served cold, after placing for our drinks and asking for a straw I waited for over 30mins only to be told that the waiter forgot. For a highly recommended restaurant I expected better. I wouldn’t bother visiting the restaurant or recommending it.

Here for just a night before flying out to the Mara but got a couple of days to visit as friends were already checked in Great, accommodating staff On our first day, we had no idea there are actually 2 hotels in this complex, within 500 feet of each other. Staff helped us navigate between the two Both have metal detectors Robert greeted us and helped manage our luggage Samuel at the desk was wonderful - both days When we learned our booked one room had only one bed, (“but we’re not those kind of friends”), ?Rachel managed to get another room as none available with two beds. We are both so appreciative. Benson helped us navigate the campus and lent me his pen There’s a lot going on at this hotel Lots of power players and a peace negotiation. The buffet is considerable, expansive Everyone I met was kind, considerate Communication easy as everyone speaks English far better than my attempts at Swahili And there’s a cute gift shop And btw, while it is fairly close to NBO airport, it’s not *that* close; you’ll still need a car and *at least* 20”. The traffic at 0530 am was considerable. But Emara has the beautiful unheated pool pictured. Both apparently have restaurants. Emara is the one that has views directly over the Nairobi National Park, where antelope were seen from our floor

Enjoyed our stays at the Emara Ole-Sereni. It is an elegant, clean and modern hotel on the edge of the Nairobi National Park and a short ride from the international airport. We could see impala & elands from our room. The staff is pleasant, efficient and friendly.

I had no hot water on one of the nights I stayed at the hotel. The pillows were incredibly hard, terribly uncomfortable, and I had a very bad sleep. I arranged a safari tour to the Nairobi National Park, which was confirmed in two emails, but the travel desk forgot about it. They made me wait 1.5 hours for the driver as they informed him at the very last minute. What’s worse is that we paid in full for the tour, and when I got to the park, the driver had not received confirmation that the park fee had been paid, which the travel desk at the hotel was supposed to handle. In the end, we also spent about 30 minutes outside the park trying to resolve the payment issue. This experience was ludicrous, to say the least. The driver was very nice, but he was not at fault for what the people at the travel desk did; they are just not very organized at all. This is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, but the level of attention to detail, lack of organization, and many other issues would rate this as a 3-star hotel at best. Additionally, I had to chase the servers at breakfast to pour coffee as we were sitting outside. One lady complained that it was too cold, so they didn’t want to come outside. On my way out, I asked for a taxi to the airport. Again, the guy at the travel desk said it would be $60. I told him this was too expensive, so he reduced the fee to $50. I checked Uber and found a ride for $8, which is considerably cheaper. Please, if you decide to stay here, don’t ask for their taxi service if you don’t want them to rip you off. The only thing I liked was the food and the view from the pool and breaking restaurant

We returned here due to the availability of space for a business meeting . The hotel is slowly picking up.Parts of the new Emara are being finished and the slight upturn is visibile in staff uniforms and cleanliness. Unfortunately the lack of hospitality is glaring. One person at the check in desk, lack of courtesy from staff at the reception, the list is endless, one wonders if they only want to be known for the top floor bar with great views and a decent drink list. The restaurant service was very average.Breakfact buffet was decent but not amazing.

This is a lovely hotel space that overlooks the Nairobi National Park and the view is stunning! Service was fantastic. I ran a conference here and everything was upto standard. I could definitely recommend this for anyone needing a staycation, a place near the airport or a conference venue!
