I ski every year, so this is the second year in a row. The hotel is my favorite style. Japanese tatami, large rooms, bathing area, laundry, breakfast and dinner are all buffet style, the food is very exquisite, the taste is not that of ordinary buffet, very pleasantly surprised, highly recommended.

I stayed here with my family for a ski trip. We had a great time in one room with six people from three generations of parents and children, and we were very satisfied.
We took baths both at night and in the morning, and because the steam from the baths didn't obscure the view, foreigners who are uncomfortable being naked probably wouldn't feel embarrassed.
The food was well-balanced and delicious. There wasn't a large selection, but everything was delicious.
I'd like to stay here again.

Spacious and comfortable room. The onsen is quite large and well equipped, however the downside is that it has no view. The hotel also has locker room for ski equipment which is very convenient.
It takes 10 minutes to travel from the hotel to the Akakura Onsen town and most other ski resorts in the area, driving is recommended but there are also shuttle services.

Property is set in a very quiet and peaceful environment. Very clean and modern. Well maintained after its renovation. There are plenty of free parking space.
Room is big but unfortunately without shower/bath - a big negative for the property. There are two common showers for the whole hotel which must be busy during peak seasons. I recommend the hotel especially during off peak season when you can use the public showers. Otherwise you have to use the bathing facilities in the onsen.

I don't want to write anything bad, but the appearance and reviews are super modern, but the inside... For better or worse, it was a hotel full of the feel of an old public facility. If you are a couple or looking for a stylish feel, you will be disappointed. Specifically, the staff are mostly elderly. In short, it is not professional. And the food buffet is small, with few items, and mostly frozen food. The clientele is mostly elderly and families. I guess the resort development company is consulting and the management is local, but... The good thing is that the interior is stylish and the sofas and desks are very easy to use. It's expensive, so you expect a reasonable amount, but if you can stay cheaply, that's fine. It's not bad at all, but I can't deny that I was disappointed because I had high expectations.
