We stayed here on the excellent recommendation of Scoutski and as I was just reviewing my old ski trips I wanted to give a different perspective on another review for this hotel. We booked to stay here on the second leg of our ski trip. Unfortunately, I tore my ACL a few days before arriving here. The hotel staff and Scoutski went above and beyond in making sure I was comfortable, recommending a local physiotherapist and organising refunds. The location was excellent - and close to a good cafe and an excellent noodle place recommended by Scout. So close I could even walk there with my injuries! We had the room with the private onsen and it was perfect - I don't recommend tearing ACLs but the room couldn't have been better. The staff also went above and beyond in taking me to and from the station for non-skiing day trips while Scout helped organise extra skiing activities for my husband. The hotel is very traditional - super clean and a very Japanese experience. The rooms are a bit older but everything is clean and our western style beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend it - especially the Japanese breakfasts and kind staff. We're just booking our 4th family skiing trip with Scout and we hope to book many more in the years to come. The recommendation to stay here is an example of their good advice. Oyado Furya offers genuine hospitality and warmth, a great location and a traditional experience. Highly recommended all round.
