Prinsotel la Dorada -

As of June 2025, the hotel is in very good condition. This is a higher-quality than average hotel, although not luxury. Finishings, designs, rooms and maintenance are higher/better than usual. The pool/pathways areas are impecable. Bushes perfectly trimmed, not a leave or fallen flower on the floor. Beautiful and cared for daily. June is a great moment to come to Mallorca as it is already very warm/hot enough to crave pool and beach but not hot enough you don't want to walk around. Also, the amount of people is very reasonable. Come July/August, things change and crowds make everything less enjoyable. Front is nice and helpful and the breakfast buffet (in my case I paid for the immense convenience) fantastic. The beach is a 3-minute walk from the side exit door, just crossing the main street. The beach is fantastic, clean and it barely has any weeds. However, although we did not have issues to find a space, I don't want to be there in July/August as there are around 100 ft from water to the back and I bet it will be more difficult to find a space with a crowd. Hotel location is great as it is right in the main street with plenty food and the typical "everything" stores within walking distance. We stayed 5 days and didn't need to take the car to go have dinner. The rate was also higher than average but there are plenty reasons why it is fair. Overall, very happy with the stay and every aspect of the hotel.

Pro First impressions great - clean modern lobby, excellent welcome service from Hilde- cava and cold towel on arrival, bell boy delivery of suitcases Lobby and hallway areas smell great and look modern, clean, well maintained and updated. range of facilities on site - 4 restaurant options, additional facilities for Prins Club, access to spa. Room is clean and swim suite swimming pool was wonderful- no rush to get a spot by swimming pool for sunbeds. Shower pressure was good. Replenished water each night. New towels each day. Kids swimming pool area is well maintained - must be fairly new. Gardens are very well kept and interesting Inside dining spaces are well maintained and look up to date Main pool and kids pool depth was great for kids. The swim up pool depth was also great. Food at grill and picco was excellent. Winners food also good. Breakfast buffet food was good. Supermarket on site was reasonably priced. Spa circuit was ok. Terrace for spa was nice and relaxing. Pool was cold though. Cons Prins club terrace buffet a great addition but chairs covered in bird poo. They all need cleaning. I don’t mind the wildlife, but clean up the backs of the chairs. Waiter could have been more friendly. Food in evening buffet - didnt have the greatest selection. Main pool - good selection of different pool shapes, was really interesting - but some of the main pool areas were really in need of a pool tile update. Lots of the tiles were missing and the grout is cracked/green and generally looking very old and tired. Doesn’t match the rest of the property. I didn’t enjoy my time in the main pool because of this. Prinsclub area - one day the food was not replenished, lots of people leaving rubbish and used plates everywhere - so not being maintained either. Other days, food was well stocked. Concierge emails were not responded to after the initial email. Never saw private check in or check out options for Prins club. Never saw any staff at the concierge desk in the prins club. Evening entertainment was dire. Just absolutely lacking in any fun or energy. It all finished by 9.45pm. Lion king show was ok, acrobats were ok. But everything else was just awful. No atmosphere or coordination of the evening events. Kids mini disco exactly the same every night. It got repetitive and boring. Not enough seats for all guests in the theatre. Theatre was freezing cold. Shows started too early and finished way too early. Nothing to do in the hotel past 10pm. Pool tables also broken for most of our stay. No atmosphere around the main pool area. Some daily activities, but no variety. Animation team all seemed lovely, but the program is just lacking. Compared to other similarly marketed hotel chains we have stayed at (Iberostar, Zafiro and Mar senses), the entertainment and animation here pales in comparison. Waiting staff were all very polite, but none were particularly fun, warm or engaging. In summary, we liked our swim up

I stayed on vacation at this hotel and had a wonderful time. The rooms were perfect, well-maintained, and the location great for relaxation and convenience. What set the hotel apart was the exceptional service, especially in the breakfast area. Every morning, we were warmly welcomed by Marcos and Tatiana. Their hospitality, attention to detail, and cheerful attitude created a positive start into each day. They remembered my coffee preference and greeted everyone with a smile, they made breakfast feel more like a family gathering than just a hotel meal. Kudos to the hotel for having such dedicated and thoughtful team members. Highly recommend this hotel. Thank you, Marcos and Tatiana!

We have recently returned from yet another wonderful 15 night stay at this excellent hotel. This was our sixth holiday at Prinsotel La Dorada and we are already planning our return there in July 2026. Perfect two bedroom suites for a family of four, beautifully maintained gardens, excellent breakfast and evening buffet and a general feeling of relaxation / calmness that can be difficult to find at a family hotel during high season. Each time that we return it is nice to see so many familiar faces amongst the wonderful hotel staff. ( We did however, really miss former Restaurant Manager Marco who has moved on pastures new this year. His warm and wonderfully welcoming personality was always something that we looked forward to each time we returned to La Dorada.) We would like to say a very special ‘thank you’ to Maria and Oscar in the Pool Bar / Moana bar for such excellent service again this year as well as Fernando in the buffet restaurant for his daily help and understanding regarding our daughters gluten allergy. He always seemed to be on hand to show us what dishes were suitable for her to eat. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Finally I would like to also say a very special thank you to Aberto in Prinsotel Guest Reservations for such excellent customer service. If you are considering your first stay at La Dorada and are reading these reviews to help you decide whether or not to book, just go ahead and book your family holiday. You will not be disappointed.
