Everything was perfect, the staff was nice and friendly. Wide range of dishes. Highly recommended. A slight drawback is parking - it is available either on the street for a fee (at the hotel for a higher price) or in a parking lot that is slightly further away for a lower price. The hotel also offers parking in the building next door, but without their pass for a higher price. However, the hotel staff was very helpful in directing us to a parking lot nearby. The hotel is located right on the beach (well, what goes as ‘beach’ here – basically a concrete deck up to the sea), with all rooms having a sea view. It is still within easy reach of the centre of Piran, reached by a path along the coast. As you reach the hotel, you will find that parking is a real issue – there are not enough parking lots for all 50+ rooms, and the area is popular for going to the beach; the public parking lots charge 15 € per day, are at least 100 m away, and fill up as well. The reception is friendly and efficient. Once you are checked in, you walk through the breakfast room and up a ramp to a single, small, old elevator that takes you up to the rooms in the main building; it doesn’t inspire much confidence, so most guests only use it to bring their luggage to / from the rooms – it’s only three storeys max… While some rooms (those with numbers ending with x06 to x09) face the lake and the coastline of Piran, the rest is built to face more towards the sea; that makes little difference in terms of the views, but keeps the sun out more. The rooms are small for two people, in particular the wardrobe – it looks like it is rather made for a stay of a few days than for a week or two. There is a little fridge / minibar; the WiFi works. The bathrooms are very small (except for the shower), with no place to put toiletries (well, on the cistern of the toilet…) – two people will struggle to use it at the same time. There is a hair dryer with US sockets. The beds are good, but only have a single pillow type. There are opaque curtains to keep the daylight out; while they leave light through at the sides and the top, they do a reasonable job. It is very quiet at night (unless the other hotel guests aren’t…), so all set for a good night’s sleep. A simple but reasonable breakfast buffet is included in the room charge, with seating inside and on a terrace facing the beach and the sea. During the day and in the evenings, reasonable food can be had at the restaurant; the service is efficient (no long waiting times).

As a summary: rather spend more money and take the Kempinski next door. This „Lifeclass“ hotel is faded glory. The provided pics for „Standard double room with sea view“ are not realistic. I paid more than USD 330 for an old, worn-out hotel room! The sea view was a view on an old pool deck... The parking situation is as already described. The reception‘s quote: „we have a hotel parking, to find a free space, good luck“. Positive: Terme looks nice and renovated from outside and the breakfast was good.

Breakfast is very rich, the sea view is also very good, and the staff is welcoming. The restaurants nearby are good.

So at the time of check-out, pay the parking fee at the hotel. They will provide a white release card~

Everything was great except the hotel instructions on parking, which were a bit of a nightmare. We tried to explain what needed to be corrected for future guests but the hotel insisted their instructions were accurate. The hotel will tell you to park at the Fornace Garage if you have a lot of luggage. DO NOT follow your GPS to the Fornace Garage. Your GPS will take you to a Residents Only entrance and you will have residents honking at you as you try to back up since you won’t be able to get in. If you get to the bottom of the hill, you’ve gone too far. The garage you want says “Garazna hisa” in huge letters (this is actually the Fornace garage but a tourist would never know that). Parking method 1: follow the above instructions then take your luggage with you on the shuttle. To find the shuttle, take the garage elevator to the bottom floor and walk with your luggage quite aways to the bus stop by the sea. Parking method 2: The best thing to do involves entering the old town for the 15 minute free entrance to drop off your luggage. Here are the instructions: park at Garazna hisa garage, leave your luggage in your car then take the shuttle to the hotel and ask the hotel to show you where to park with your emergency lights on (there’s really only one spot and you won’t be able to find it unless you’ve been shown), then take the shuttle back to your car, pay for parking and exit the lot and go to the hotel, put on your emergency flashing lights, dump off your luggage, then return to the garage. Parking method 3: park at Garazna hisa garage and make multiple trips on the shuttle if you have much luggage. Be aware that every time you mention parking the hotel staff revels in telling you that you didn’t read the emails. They are extremely proud of their emails about parking and it’s irrelevant to them that the emails are misleading. The hotel is really funky (in a great way) and very modern. We had room 413 which didn’t have much of a view but that was fine as it also didn’t have the noise that the Seaview and Square view rooms get. It was a very quiet room. The A/C worked great and this is important in Piran. The bathroom is big by European standards and recently remodeled and very modern. The shower is SUPER slippery and there is no shower mat, so be super careful. We moved the shower soap to the floor in the front of the shower. The hotel has it in the back of the shower so it squirts all over the floor making it even more slippery. The room was large and had plenty of storage and places to put things. The bed was king size and medium firm with a bit of a soft top. It was very comfortable. The front desk is there 24/7 which is nice. There was hand sanitizer on every floor at the elevator, which was appreciated. The breakfast buffet was great. It was varied and plentiful. The woman who takes your room number at breakfast is very cheerful and welcoming and always has a big smile. As far as beach towels, you have to
