This hotel has a great location and the rooms are clean and spacious with complete facilities. The service staff are warm and considerate, and the breakfast is rich and varied. The overall stay experience is very comfortable and cost-effective. It is worth recommending.

We travelled as a family of four (with two teenagers) staying for one night. The room (2 queen beds both with ensuite) was spacious and clean. Laundry room with washer and dryer was great to have access to (but expensive). Location was great with easy walk to city centre, market and train station. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Construction works on building but no noise bothered us.

Wir haben zum Glück eine Bekannte in München, die sich das Hotel vor unserer Reise angesehen hat. Sie hat uns zur Storno geraten - vollkommen zu Recht! Das Stornieren ging ca. vier Wochen vor unserer geplanten Reise problemlos und kostenfrei. Nun 18.07.2025) sind wir in München aber in einem anderen Hotel. Als ich mir das Maximilian Munich Hotel heute mal angesehen habe, war ich geschockt! Laute Großbaustelle vor der Tür und das ganze Hotel ist eingerüstet. Wir sind sehr froh, dass wir hier nicht unseren Urlaub verbringen müssen.

The hotel was in a good location, near to many site seeing spots. However…we found the hotel to be very expensive for what we got. The first two nights the air conditioning was not cooling very well and it was a hot week in Munich. We couldn’t get the temperature below 24deg Celsius. We finally switched rooms to one with better AC. The hotel website is very misleading about the construction going on “nearby”. The scaffolding and construction work was all over the hotel exterior. Our garden view was not much of a view with scaffolding outside our windows and balcony. A couple of mornings I heard pounding starting at 7:30. Prices should have been adjusted based on the inconvenience of the construction. After speaking to 3 different people at reception, we were finally able to speak to the manager and she ultimately offered us one free night.

The hotel is under renovation and there is more construction outside. There is no mention of this on their website. This was disappointing. The staff are good.

Durch die Baustelle vor dem Hotel wie auch durch die Fassadenrenovation war leider Baulärm zu hören. Das Hotel ist uns grosszügig entgegen gekommen und wir haben schlussendlich ein ruhiges Zimmer Richtung Park erhalten. Dies haben wir sehr geschätzt. Die Zimmer sind angemessen den Preisen gegenüber.
