The location is extremely close to the city centre, however, it’s in the red light district. Though I found Schiller5 a nice and clean hotel, good breakfast (simple but good enough). All the drinks in the fridge are free of charge, and the receptionist are all friendly and being nice and helpful.
The only thing I don’t like is the mattress, whenever I toss and turn, the mattress squeaks, and it certainly bothers me.
Overall, this hotel is good.

It was close to the station, there were restaurants and supermarkets nearby, the hotel staff were all kind and it was very comfortable.
The breakfast was also delicious.

The hotel itself was very nice. (Very) warm rooms, comfortable layout, good beds, and great breakfast! The staff we encountered were all warm and hospitable. The location was convenient since it's near the train station, but highly doubt we would want to stay in that area next time we visit (even though we have nothing bad to say about the hotel). It felt dirty and just kind of gloomy. ***** *****, ******** halls, etc. felt like the main attractions of the area, and at night it was kind of a depressing area. The hotel isn't exactly in the middle of this necessarily, but only tens of meters away from it.
With that being said, it's a 5-7 minute walk from the central train station, and probably 10-12 minutes to Marienplatz. Very convenient. If you don't care about what's in the direct vicinity, I would highly recommend!

The subway is under construction recently, and the hotel entrance is a mess. I booked this hotel because of its cultural name and proximity to the train station... But I really don't recommend it. I feel the surrounding environment is not good. Especially if you are alone. If there are several people, it doesn't matter. The breakfast is not bad.
