The room is small

The doors were oddly heavy. The rooms were on the small side. If it had AC, I couldn't find the controls. But it's a nice clean hotel with friendly staff and a quiet bar that stays open late if you aren't ready to go to the room yet.

Friendly staff and a great vibe on arrival. Booked a standard room with a king bed. Room seemed smaller than 16 sq m but contained a large bed with teeny bedside tables, a small desk, chair and open wardrobe. Room also had a large upright safe built under the tiny bedside table. Room lighting was very good. Bathroom was also tiny but included a magnifying mirror and storage above the toilet for cosmetics. Two towels were provided per guest. A large free bottle of water was provided daily. The location on Motel One in Munich is excellent, very close to the Sendlinger Gate. Motel One is good value for an expensive city. BEWARE Parking is very limited at this hotel at the cost of 30 Euro per day and cannot be pre-booked. Some guests may be disappointed. There is space for 3 cars only on the street. Parking inspectors were also active on the street outside the hotel. Motel One is more suitable for those travelling without cars.

Fabulous location. Lots of places to eat nearby. Nice bar with plenty of choices. Food limited to snack menu in the evening. Didn’t try breakfast. Staff were friendly enough. Downside was no kettle available from reception. But I was told you can get hot water from the bar. We were on the 7th floor and the first night returned to lots of flies in the room. Asked reception for help. They couldn’t move us as the hotel was full. They explained it was due to some nearby water. It was only that first night thankfully. Managed to get some pickle juice as a repellent. They tried hard and it wasn’t their fault. There was a floor length window that fully opened in like a door. Although there was a glass panel I didn’t think it was safe so left it on the tilt opening for ventilation. Couple of small gripes. Bath towels weren’t replaced in 4 days. There was only a bin in the bathroom not the bedroom. All in all lovely hotel with everything you need for a city break. Tip: turn left and you will see the back of La Fayette. Looks nothing from the outside but stunning inside. Turn right and go just around the corner to Kennedys, an Irish bar with live music.

Great location. Excellent breakfast.
