Portes Lithos

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. This was our first time in Greece, and the hotel made it truly special. Check-in was a lovely, relaxing experience that immediately set the tone for our stay. The food was incredible, with different themes every night that kept every meal exciting and delicious. The beach was just a short stroll away, which made it so easy to enjoy the sea whenever we wanted. The staff were outstanding—warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. Everything was spotless, and the facilities were top-notch, making it easy to both relax and enjoy everything the resort had to offer. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon. We left with wonderful memories and are already planning to come back!

Stayed end of August for 2 wks we came last year and the hotel is just as nice. The staff make the experience Vladka, Christop and too many to name provide an excellent service. The rooms are well kept and secure the cleaning team do an excellent job at cleaning the rooms nothing is too much trouble just ask if you need something. The grounds are well maintained daily. Pros Lovely hotel clean and tidy Large variety of food to suit all fussy eaters could do better with desserts. Large pool area Lovely beach Towels are free no need to rush for a sun bed they are always available Weather is brilliant Free gym with variety of equipment Supermarket with large variety of items to purchase Lovely walks to other hotels a mile away along with other supermarkets Car hire facility onsite Reception are very welcoming Opportunity to see turtles jelly fish crabs and octopus on the shoreline Skinos a la carte restaurant - lovely staff fresh food lovely staff especially Yiannis plenty of food options. Well worth a visit Afitos - lovely village 20 minutes taxi drive away it’s breath taking lovely shops lovely scenery. Cons If you don’t mind cats around you whilst you eat it’s not a con we personally did but appreciate the unwanted company with cats watching you eat whilst other visitors gave them food meaning we had to sit inside to avoid these pests. Children allowed to roam around the grounds on scooters it’s a 5 star hotel really and where are the parents???? Beach -very pebbley you need sand shoes or you could end up with bruised soles of your feet Water sports centre next door - two activities are free non motorised peddelo and canoes for 30 minutes everything else we felt was overpriced. Shuttle bus - only runs now twice a day two times a week with limited seats. The market in Neo Maudina is on a Wednesday shuttle bus goes at 9.30/11.30 and returns 1.30/3.30 a long day in that heat. Should look at increasing days and times especially at peak season… Swimming Pool - not heated it’s not only cold but the PH level needs looking into our Son got a rush when he used it and our Daughters swim suit turned yellow from light blue. Clothing or lack of it in the restaurant - there is a sign which states no swim/beach wear to be worn but the signs ignored people wear swim wear with no cover up / lack of it in the restaurant no one is monitoring this we only saw one person asked to cover up who laughed and carried on. It’s a 5 star hotel you would expect people to respect others but they don’t.

We travel often, especially to exotic places, so there is something to compare it to. The hotel complex is very nice, the villas also have everything you need, we had a seafront loft. The food and drinks are okay, the sea is warm and clean, although there are stones at the entrance, which is not pleasant for walking.The main problem is cleanliness and many small, unruly children, children riding scooters around the dining room, unacceptable.

Lovely hotel - clean and quiet with modern decor. The staff were friendly and very helpful (although bar drinks could be a little slow at times), especially Vladka in the restaurant - she's a real asset and great at her job. The food in the restaurants was delicious and varied - we were so full from breakfast lunch and dinner that we didn't need any of the room or bar snacks! My husband and I had wonderful Cretan Massage - John did mine and it was probably the best massage I've ever had! One thing I would like to see change is the amount of plastic water bottles used by guests (truly upsetting quantities), but also the bars used small bottles of Coke, Tonic, Fanta, etc - can't these be supplied on tap rather than in small bottles? There must be a better way... Also, I know the stray cats living on site are fed by staff and guests, but could a few more feeding and water stations be set up (especially near the Skinos restaurant / Dioni pool bar?) On some days, the poor cream mother cat was panting - they need regular access to clean water. All said, a lovely holiday and we hope to return next year.

I had an incredibly relaxing and positive experience at the spa. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed an amazing massage with Dimitra. I left feeling deeply relaxed and completely satisfied—exactly what I needed. Absolutely a 10/10 experience, highly recommend!

Currently here now… hotel is beautiful & staff are so wonderful & attentive. Room is love and big and clean!! However so far the let down is the ‘Ultra all inclusive’ is really nothing ultra about it. So much not included - pool bar, minimal snacks that are never available, always a wait. The pool bar sit down menu - should very much be included! Having to buy your kids lunch really shouldn’t be an option especially when ultra is the description. All drinks should be served in the plastic white rather than the cardboard cups they supply (although if you ask - you do get the white plastic). Again such a lovely hotel in so many ways - but ultra inclusive is not what you get. Other than the main restaurant, and extremely limited snacks at the pool bar that’s included, it could be so much better all inclusive wise. Everything else is great - gym is fantastic, hotel views are lovely & the friendlyness of the staff is amazing - actually the best I’ve ever had in any hotel. Upgraded to junior suite pool side - which has been a godsend, room 6113 - totally reccomend. Could be great if they sort what’s included on all inclusive.
