It's a bit far from the station. If you have big luggage, I recommend taking a taxi. There is a Starbucks downstairs and a restaurant in the hotel. Turn left and there is a shopping mall.
It's old, but the overall maintenance is OK. The sanitation is clean and the front desk can communicate in basic English.
It's not too far from Shenglouge, you can try it

It is located in downtown Morioka, so it has good accessibility to other food and shopping areas. There is also a Starbucks on the first floor, so it would be good for those who like coffee. I was a little confused at first because Pronto and Starbucks were on the first floor, but other than that, the customer service was good.
One downside is that it doesn't work. The only drawback is that you can hear everything being said in the next room.
Still, the room was clean and I only have good memories from the trip.

繁華街に近くて便利でした。スタバ併設、ほぼ隣にコンビニ。車で行きましたが、地下などに駐車場があるわけでなく、近くのコインパーキングと契約していてそこに止めるよう言われました。雨でしたので、それが少し不便でしたが…。朝食はビジネスホテルにしては、地のものもあり、良かったです。

We stayed in this hotel during the festival. It is about 15 minute walk from the train station. The room is spacious, very comfortable. There is no coffee making facilities in the room, perhaps because of the Starbucks below. It was easy to walk from there to festival area and to the multitude of restaurants downtown (it was hard, though, to find a seat).

I was planning to go to Akita, but due to heavy rain I had to change my plans at the last minute and stayed in a twin room. It's close to the downtown area, so there's no shortage of places to eat dinner. The room was clean. The breakfast was delicious.
