Abelana is the place to go if you want a quintessential South African Game experience! From the warm welcome at the start of your stay to the moment you leave, every moment is filled with unique experiences. The game drives are fantastic and the rangers really put every effort into making the experience memorable. They are very knowledgeable about the game and where to find it and make every endeavour to make each drive an experience not to forget. Cold towels await every guest on their return to the lodge and the pool and drinks soothe away the heat of the day while guests exchange their days memorable experiences. The food is of the highest standard and the staff attentive. All in all, Abelana will not disappoint and will most definitely remain a highlight in every way of your South African adventure!

Un luogo da sogno, camere molto pulite, cibo ottimo, personale eccellente e gentilissimo, sempre disponibile e sorridente, il nostro ranger Duncan molto simpatico e preparatissimo, sono stati giorni che non dimenticherò mai, mi è rimasta una gran nostalgia.

Lodge incantevole all’interno di una riserva privata Camere fantastiche Adì che ci ha accompagnati nei Safari è una persona molto preparata riesce a scovare gli animali seguendo le tracce e l’odore Le camere sono all’interno della riserva quindi gli animali viaggiano liberi .. di giorno con attenzione puoi arrivare da solo nella zona centrale .. la sera devi essere accompagnato da un ranger e quando arrivi in camera non puoi più uscire .. la prima sera un leopardo si aggirava vicino alla nostra camera !! La prima mattina ci siamo svegliati con un gruppo di impala oltre la vetrata della camera .. la seconda mattina un gruppo di babbuini giocava lì fuori La nota dolente è il cibo.. avevamo la pensione completa Colazione discreta Pranzo misero.. un piatto a scelta fra due e se hai ancora fame ti attacchi .. noi abbiamo ordinato un gelato che ovviamente ci hanno fatto pagare Cena discreta

From the welcome with fresh cold towels, fantastic food from the chefs, beautiful room overlooking the river, well decorated main area, Game ranger and tracker Taylor & Mr T, ALL was excellent. The setting is beautiful with the river in front of you. Thank you for an awesome stay. Will definitely be back👌🏼

Un vero paradiso! Struttura eccellente . Le suite si affacciano tutte sul fiume e sono costruite, nell'uso di materiali e arredi, nel rispetto dell'ambiente circostante. La riserva privata che ospita il lodge non ha barriere per cui gli animali sono liberi di transitare davanti elle ville per abbeverarsi al fiume e magari osservare questi strani esseri che li fotografano. I safari fatti nella riserva addedtrandosi nel bush Con i ranger sono bellissimi con sosta per ammirare il tramonto. Avvistamento animali emozionante. Safari nel Jrugher bellissimo. Personale super cortese e attento a piccole coccole al rientro dai safari. Cucina curata per rendere ancora più magica la notte sul fiume. Addormentarsi al suono degli animali che si spostano nel buio della notte è bellissimo. Soggiorno perfetto!!!Voto 12!!

We went back to the bush after nearly 15 years of being away from that part of the world to spoil ourselves and celebrate our older daughter's 40th, Father's Day and a 44th wedding anniversary. This is a special. warm. welcoming and down-to-earth place indeed. Great food. Beautifully served. Just the right size of helping. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone on the staff, We had really good sightings. Small stuff. Big stuff. Walks with cheetah and rhino, birds, antelope, lion, fresh kills. The list could go on. And it does. We cannot recommend our guide, Wernich (Verne) , enough. He went far above and beyond to find us game large, small and tiny -- and to take us to the baobabs, which is off-the-scale special as a sighting. I don't think he had to do that as part of his job description/ KPAs, but he did. His energy and passion to know more and more about bush-lore and to make the deep knowledge he's already imbibed was inspiring. Thanks Verne. And also a huge thanks to Rob, Isaac, Judy for their calm, cheerful engagements on every occasion. This is a seriously, seriously special place. Go there.

Semplicemente MAGICO. Dal momento in cui si mette piede in questo fantastico Lodge si viene rapiti dalla magia sudafricana. Tutto semplicemente perfetto. Personale attento, discreto e preciso in ogni momento: dal manager Robert a tutto lo staff. Colazione, aperitivo, spuntini, pranzi e cene sempre di livello. I safari si svolgono in una riserva privata in cui siamo riusciti a vedere 4 dei 5 big five, oltre a tantissimi altri animali in una flora meravigliosa. Albe e tramonti mozzafiato. Ville meravigliose e del tutto immerse nella natura, con ampie vetrate sul fiume, luci soffuse e assenza di tv e wi-fi. Che dire…. Perfezione e magia allo stato puro.

Accommodation -Beds, pillows, shower (indoor and out) and room were superior. Food was beyond our expectation. My husband stated “this is the best meal” then we’d have the next meal and that was his favourite meal!! The service was inviting and the people friendly and welcoming (right from the women that provided hot washcloths on arrival and after every safari trip) The lodge was immaculate, well kept. Rob our host was very knowledgeable and friendly. Now both Duncan and Vern were exceptional. So knowledgeable and provided an amazing experience. Duncan, our guide was so proud of his heritage and his enthusiasm we couldn’t wait to hear his stories. We would recommend this accommodation!!
