Très déçu, chambre très petite, lit très inconfortable trop mou ,salle de bain très petite ,on dirait de la moisissure dans le bas de la douche, pour un B&B on doit faire son déjeuner et en plus laver notre vaisselles, pas de stationnement privé on doit laisser notre auto à 2 rues plus loin

The facilities are nice, spacious room, good bathroom, functional kitchen, long breakfast window time, and friendly manager. However, eventhough you chose a non smoking room you can still smell it everywhere. Aside from that everything is good.

Robert is a really nice man who went above and beyond at every interaction and even got a teddy bear for my daughter. The property is well-maintained and accessible. However, there are two issues I'd like to mention.
First, the common areas smell like cigarette smoke. The rooms are clean and have enough air freshener to prevent it from bothering us, but the smell is quite significant in the common areas.
The second issue was how the property handled our last day. They claimed that ******* overbooked us and moved our belongings to another room without ever communicating this to us. When we returned, we found that everything had already been moved. Some of our items were left behind, so we had to ask the property manager to help us retrieve them from the other room. To make things right, they refunded us for our last night.

Belle maison d’hôtes
C’est une maison d’hôtes avec des chambres spacieuses dont plusieurs comportent des salles de bain privées. Toutefois, il faut être silencieux à partir d’une certaine heure, car elles ne sont pas insonorisées. On peut se préparer un petit-déjeuner inclus dans la cuisine commune, mais il n’y a aucun fruit ou jus de fruit; le petit-déjeuner est de type continental avec l’ajout d’une possibilité de cuisson des œufs. Toutefois, on doit laver notre vaisselle.
Pour le centre-ville de la métropole, c’est un endroit parfait et à bon prix où se loger.

Hello! J'ai lu la majorité des commentaires des client.es pour la Maison Montplaisir (autant sur ***********, Trip advisor, etc...), et je constate que les mêmes reviennent souvent : forte odeur de cigarette, télévision allumée tard et forte sans que personne ne la regarde, mal insonorisé et propreté qui laisse à désirer. Je ne souhaite que de l'introspection aux proprios, dans le but de s'améliorer! Voici les miens pour mon séjour: 1. Forte odeur de cigarette qui empeste même jusque dans les chambres. C'est assez intense : mes vêtements sentaient le lendemain. J'en ai parlé au propriétaire, car ça n'avait juste plus aucun sens. Celui-ci s'est déresponsabilisé en mettant la faute sur les autres (c'est les voisins, c'est les locataires à côté, c'est des travailleurs de la construction, etc...), et ce, un peu comme toutes ses réponses d'ailleurs sous les avis davantage négatifs sur les sites de booking. 2. Télévision effectivement forte, juste à côté des chambres, sans personne qui ne l'écoute. C'est sensé être un lieu calme pour dormir. 3. Le propriétaire rappelle à plusieurs reprises qu'il y a du tipe à laisser pour des soit disant étudiantes qu'on ne voit jamais. Les client.es ne sont pas idiot.es. Pourquoi mentir et inventer des jeunes filles qui font le ménage, quand on sait très bien que c'est lui qui gère à lui seul la bâtisse. Il n'y a aucune honte pourtant là-dedans à être le seul à gérer un établissement. Il mise d'ailleurs sur le fait que c'est des filles aux études, et que c'est pour les encourager étant donné leur précarité. Quel mensonge horrible. 4. La propreté des lieux est effectivement à améliorer. Des coulisses sur les murs, des insectes sur les murs, un frigo sale, etc... Bon succès dans vos améliorations!

Switch our rooms with no notice midtrip
Awful owner and establishment. We booked a room for two beds in room 1 for a two day trip. After the first night we returned on the second day to find someone else in our room. They moved all of our stuff to a different room without telling us and left some of our property in the room with the other people in it. They did not offer a clear reason for doing this and there was no advanced communication. Stay away or they will scam you too.
