Very clean hostel, staff are all awesome and super friendly. Events happen downstairs all the time, and there's a real sense of community. Backpackers filter in and out. There are plenty of working spaces and alternative bathrooms, which is good because many rooms have 10+ people. Earplugs and a sleep mask are definitely must haves, but luckily the former is provided for free. Towels and toiletries are available, but not great. Breakfast is just bagels and bread, but still incredibly convenient. There are small luggage lockers, but you need your own lock, and they won't fit suitcases by any means. Overall I highly recommend--great place great location and great people.

This is the best youth hostel I have been to in the past 20 years. I also stayed at samesun recently, and everything was better than it except breakfast. Clean and comfortable.
There is a luxury residential area nearby, close to the metro station. If you arrive by train, it is best to get off at Gare Lucien-L'Allier, which is closer than central. But it is still within walking distance

Although it is a quad room, it is very quiet and clean. It really surprised me. I stayed for four nights and the girls in the same room were very nice. The basement is a restaurant and entertainment room. If you want to be quiet, you can study and work in the "study room" on the same floor. You can make a lot of good friends there.
The transportation is also very convenient, right in the city center.
Finally, the front desk staff and all the staff can speak English, haha, 🤗 this is very important!

It’s a great place for a solo traveler. It has it’s own bathroom in the room which is great.

Apart from being expensive, there are basically no other problems. There are bed curtains, but they don't cover the entire bed. I think this design is a good balance between the privacy of the personal rest space and the openness that a youth hostel should have. p.s. If you mind mixed sex accommodation, choose carefully.
