Aves Hotel & Resort - Retreat Center

I came with a group of 17 working professionals. Mike made me feel like an old friend. Coming from another country I expected to be treated like a stranger but he made sure everyone felt like family. Every need was met. He was super quick with responses if we had questions. The whole staff was nothing short of helpful, genuinely mind and the place itself was like eden. I always feel sad when I stay somewhere and the staff look sad. They looked encouraging even when we asked for silly help. The best views, food options, comfort, water. I am blown away. We will be back.

Aves Hotel & Resort is the best place to stay in Montezuma. We are Andorrans travelling Costa Rica and all we can say about this place is that it was incredible and the host Mike was so helpful and friendly, thank you!!!. Anyone going to Montezuma and wanting to stay in a nice hotel, excellent quality for price, relaxing and close to the center must stay here.

I had the pleasure of staying here with Human Garage group for a week. The service from Jenny and Mike and Jo and all of the staff was outstanding. The food was exceptional. The rooms were so great, very clean and comfortable. The Yoga Shala is amazing with a great view. I had the pleasure of a massage as well and it was the best I have ever had. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!

An incredible hotel. A wonderful find. The hotel is located a 20 minute walk from Montezuma. The location is good because Montezuma is hectic, and the hotel gives you the space to relax. You can walk to town - it is a steep 20 minute walk downhill. You do not want to walk the other way around. There are lots of taxis in Montezuma that charge $3-4 to bring you back up to the hotel so it does not matter. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The outdoor shower was special, as was the bed mattress. There was lots of A/C. The swimming pools are amazing. There is a big one perfect for children, and a smaller quiet one for adults which has lots of nice spaces for reading. Very relaxing. The garden is beautiful, and very tidy. It was very nice to walk around. Breakfast was not included. It was good but a bit expensive. A juice with egg, rice and fruit was $10. There was no chance of ordering food during the day. You either have to get food from town. The hotel has a list of local restaurants that can deliver food to the hotel. One of the best hotels we have ever been to. We cannot wait to come back.
