Hotels with Breakfast in Monterey

Enjoyed every night here. Complimentary adult beverage at the bar first night stay of the hotel was nice. But the best part was knowing 24 hr beach access right in front of our room was the best decision I ever made. Views were great. Not too far from down town. Definitely would recommend.

This was a great hotel to stay at the staff were friendly and super helpful. Beautiful views and the perfect location. The only downside was that the wifi did not work, we called the front desk which then transferred our call to an IT department who were not much help we spent our stay without a wifi, not the greatest as a person visiting for the first time especially if you have online business meetings. Everything else was amazing I traveled with a friend and we had a great time as this location has many great places for good food.Will definitely book here again.

We spent 3 nights here.. given we had kids under 12 with us, who were excited about using the pool, we upgraded to a room with direct pool access through our patio. The resort is luxurious and has a lot of open areas... doesnt feel cramped for space, especially being a golf course. Kids loved the free smores kit they got to use by the bonfire. The kids play area with connect4, table tennis, putting etc. was cool too. Ample parking space and you can easily get one spot next to the building your room is in.

This hotel used to be amazing. In the past, I would have paid the premium cost for the service, location, and experience. Now, I just can't say that anymore. I have stayed at the Portola hotel a number of times and the last few times, it just hasn't been that great, yet they still charge the same premium price The hotel is in a great location, which is still a draw, but the experience has become average. I love going to Monterey and this hotel was a reason I would want to come back, but now I find myself looking elsewhere. Portola just doesn't meet the expectations they put forward for the premium price they charge. So if you get a good price on that harbor view room, I would say go for it. Note, you may end up with a partial view looking at the roof of a building across the way, with a partial view of the water. But I would stay here again if the price was right. But if prices are the same as some of the other waterfront hotels, I will likely book elsewhere.

Very comfortable hotel conveniently located in downtown Monterey and short distance from 17 Mile Drive. Rooms are spacious and staff is very friendly. Room amenities are: individual sized coffee pot and mini fridge as well as standard hair dryer, toiletries and iron. Microwaves can be delivered to your room by request at no additional cost. The Marriott has a bar and serves breakfast (not included in room rate) and other meals. It is connected to the Monterey Convention Center so if you are attending a conference, this is the best place to be. If you need parking, be aware, only valet parking is available at $40 per day with in and out privileges. There are a couple parking garages with hourly rates within a couple block walk, they do not have in and out privileges. Valet service takes about 10-15 minutes to get your car depending on time of day. Mornings were a little longer wait. Wifi is not free unless you are a Bonvoy Member, you can sign up on the spot. Would stay here again.

No mineral water and slippers are provided. Check-in was a bit late. The two rooms booked could not be arranged nearby. The round trip was a bit roundabout. The elevator was hard to find and the luggage was inconvenient to carry. There is a microwave and a terrace (the lights on the terrace need to be turned on by twisting the bulbs yourself).

The overall price/performance ratio is relatively low, the rooms are relatively old, and the scenery is really not good in the United States. The wind blowing in from the balcony is also a bit unpleasant, and you need to charge dozens of knives to the hotel, including taxes, parking fees, etc.

A great hotel, located by the sea, with great sea and harbor views. You can get in close contact with seagulls and other animals. You can fall asleep to the cries of seagulls at night. The room is very spacious and the bedding is good, but domestic tourists should be reminded that disposable items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, and slippers are generally not provided here, for environmental protection. 1. There is free parking, but it is actually on the side of the road. When you checkin, ask yourself. 2. There is free WiFi but the signal is normal, sometimes it will break 3. The location is too inconspicuous. On the roadside, when the black sky arrives, it is invisible. It is 1.2 kilometers away from the center. If it is very inconvenient to eat here, it is quite dark, and there is basically no parking space in the center. 4. The front desk big sister is very nice 5. The room is very small, but the bed is still very large 1.8m, the box is basically not moving, there is no table, there is no place to put some things. 6. There is no heating or air conditioning. California is still cold in early March. Her husband is still wearing a nightgown to sleep. The nightgown is very thick and has hairy inside. 7. Great breakfast is great, great choice, coffe or tea, orange juice, first baked bread, butter or honey kumquat sauce, husband selected smoked salmon, my choice of potato bacon omelet, They are delicious, and they are very good. On the 8.4-floor terrace, you can see a little sea and grow a lot of meat.

There is no gate or fence, it should be a motel. It is within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf and the aquarium, where you can see the sea and seals. The room has air conditioning and a fireplace that seems to be able to warm up, but it didn't work because I didn't know how to open the window and was afraid that the air would not circulate. The bed in the room was too soft, and the breakfast was okay.
