A good hotel for visiting Monmouth. The staff were outstanding - very friendly, helpful and approachable. All able to help with whatever we asked fir. This included the receptionist, the waiting staff and the chef. A lovely group of hardworking people. The room was clean, the accessibility very good (I use a wheelchair). The only tiny complaint was that the shower wasn't very powerful. In fact it was quite ”weak”. I mentioned it to the receptionist who assured me that it would be looked into.

Room basic but clean. Mattress awful, could feel every spring and hard edging around it. The staff were friendly but we couldn't help notice that the barman had a dirty tshirt on and wore it the next day too! Good atmosphere in the bar though..
