I visited this hotel as part of a tour group. It was the end of season, and much of the area was closed. The owner would not open the pool, although some days were very warm. The food was quite good and the staff were lovely. However, despite the lovely view of the lake, the hotel needs total overhaul. The carpets were a bit grubby and threadbare, especially on the stairs, and I had a leaky shower, making a puddle on the floor daily. Some other members of the group had trouble with the showers too. One of my pillows was stained, but I had a spare, so used that one instead. Altogether a bit disappointing. Despite its 4-star rating on the gate, this is definitely more like 2-star.
