Days Inn by Wyndham Mobile I-65

I arrived just after midnight. I had to rouse a semi-comatose person to rally themself and check me in. I had to pay an unexpected $100 key deposit (are these entry cards not regularly rekeyed??!!!) No parking near my room, so I had to park the car near the hotel entrance and take my chances walking to my room as there was an obviously occupied white panel van parked near my room. Made it to my room alive. The room heat was set to 85F, outside temp 45F. WHY??? Had to open the door until I could breathe in the room. There were no lampshades on the lamps, just bare lamps and bulbs. The floor was filthy, I wore socks, they turned black and I threw them out. No hangers for clothes. No facial tissues. Huge wall defect in the bathroom. Toilet not cleaned and disgusting. Bathtub rusted and stained. Mildew in corners. TV remote was inoperative. Gap under the room door of at least 1 inch, I was afraid all night of roaches, mice and rats, apart from people who thought losing their key deposit was worth having access to my room. Had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come and check me out the next morning. Full volume sermon in the lobby (I’m a devout Christian, but this is inappropriate in a business environment). Avoid this experience at all costs.

Loved the vintage essence of the property and the history around and in the hotel stuff was great also
