Homewood Suites by Hilton Mobile Airport-University Area

Upon arrival, the lobby with the fireplace makes a very warm and pleasant impression. The hotel room is very neat and very clean. Room is in pleasant, bright colors. Pictures complete the good first impression. Some things make a very high-quality impression, for example the faucet in the bathroom. I missed a USB plug, which is more and more often placed in lamps or next to the bed to charge the cell phone. The only, but big point of criticism was the breakfast. I looked for coffee cups in vain. I had to ask the staff twice until it was noticed that the disposable cups were used up. Coffee very good. The selection is not very large, comparably much less than in comparable hotels. The orange juice was very negative, probably a cheap product, also with an aftertaste. After it is now common, there are no hot, instead only "warm" scrambled eggs. Only these were not even warm, in the spectrum between warm and cold rather cold to be counted and therefore hardly to be enjoyed. Since the breakfast can not be rated separately, I have to think about what my rating should be. Because certainly hotel guests without breakfast are well accommodated here.

The property was ok. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, but had an odor and was kinda musty. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The items we ordered and had shipped to the hotel were placed in our room. Breakfast was ok as well but it was very early. I only made it down once. Overall, the property was close to the airport and average.

Not great Elevator was broke my entire 5 night stay. Only got housekeeping services 1 day. Shower drained very slowly, standing in lake when finished. Refrigerator was missing the ice cube tray. Breakfast very underwhelming.

Meh..this place needs a deep clean We stay here every few months and it has started to go downhill. It took 15 minutes for the agent to get us checked in…it took him awhile to find a clean room available (I assume). The lobby was dirty, there was trash by every elevator and one elevator was even out of order. The one working elevator was dirty inside and made the worse noises. We stayed on the 3rd floor and it smelled of mildew and there were bags of trash by the elevator all afternoon and in the morning. The room had one glass in the cabinet and the at glass was dirty. We needed ice right away, I went to ask the agent (who was on his phone) for some ice and he said to me “what about your ice maker”? well since there’s no ice in it..I went to ask the agent for some. He said “do you have anything to put it in”? With my hands full..I shrugged and said no. He ended up giving me about a quart size bag of ice. Our ice maker never ended up make enough ice to fill a cup. The bed is about the only comfortable thing in the room. The couch is terrible..I’ve sat on wood that was more comfortable. The oddest thing to me is that, instead of a pump bottle of handwashing soap, is body lotion. I used the lotion countless times trying to wash my hands instead of the bar soap that was in a box. Weird. I think (my opinion of course) the pump bottle should have hand soap instead. Breakfast was cold at 7:30am Other than all of this..will we stay again? Probably, BUT only because it’s next door to a Bonefish

Rooms were not ready upon check in at 5:30pm, had to wait 30 minutes. Rooms were not very clean. Upon check out, staff could not find out name in the system even though they had checked us in.
