Randiya Sea View Hotel

It is very close to the beach and you will cross the road. The room is clean and spacious, and the bathroom facilities are convenient and practical. There is a swimming pool in the hotel yard, it is very good to sunbathe and swim. Need to be reminded that all hotels, including the five-star hotels that later lived in Colombo, do not provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers, so you need to prepare yourself. In the room view, it is very convenient to go swimming, surfing and walking at the beach. It’s great to climb the rocks in the evening to watch the sunset, watch the waves, watch the sorghum fisherman fishing, and watch the surf! Walking on the beach, many home stalls, lit candles, music is very romantic, and the price is not high. The hotel room is good, the decoration is basically over, it is estimated that there will be an elevator soon, no need to carry the luggage to climb the building. We booked half-dinner, dinner can be ordered according to the meal, there are local flavors, there are whole grilled fish, the variety of each meal is not the same; the prawns, squid, fish pieces in the seafood rice, I think it is delicious. Breakfast is also good, although the variety is not many, but the taste is good, but also enough to choose. We didn't know if we didn't eat at the hotel for lunch. Book whale watching directly at the hotel, go to Yala National Park for discounts, including hotel pick-up and drop-off, complete the project, much cheaper than some websites. The boss is very enthusiastic. The obvious feeling is that it is not profitable. The WiFi is not good. When you come up, you can call the official online customer service immediately. If you have no results, you can lend your mobile WiFi to us. Our scheduled outings also have special tips and advice. It’s especially early for two consecutive days. It’s three in the morning and six in one day. It’s all packed up for breakfast. It’s not like having a hotel in China that can’t catch up with breakfast, no matter what. At dinner, because a student group in the United States had more guests and more requests, and delayed giving us a dish, I especially expressed my regret and gave it to the local refrigerator. When paying, there are indeed problems with other friends saying that the credit card machine is slow, can't brush the US dollar, can only be converted automatically after the payment of the rupee, if the cash is enough I think they are willing to settle in US dollars, you know. It is very close to the bus station, because it is a pure self-service tour, which is very important to us. There are fruit stalls, resident supermarkets, restaurants (including Chinese restaurants) about five minutes walk. The overall feeling is good, I recommend.

Guys, arriving at this hotel was just great for us! Not enough words to convey all our emotions from the hotel. If ever again (or more than once) I will return to Sri Lanka, it will definitely be the Wavelengh Hotel! The owner of the hotel named Nishan is a big-letter man. Very soulful, kind, infinitely honest. He helped us always in everything: searching for cheap tours, shops, cheap rental of tuck-tucks and so on ... He took us to the fish market, helped to buy fresh, inexpensive seafood that on the evenings we personally prepared - it was incredibly delicious. Every evening they spent together a shower evening for conversations and a glass of Roma. Every morning Nishan personally cooks incredible breakfasts for all the guests of the hotel, never would have thought that in 2 weeks I would not be tired of eating fried eggs in the morning (in different forms), but every morning it was wonderfully delicious! The hotel staff is as operational as possible in all matters, kind, responsive, never leaves unnoticed. The rooms are always clean, fresh, comfortable. At first request - staff cleans up, changes towels, bed linen (although every day). My friend's wife celebrated her birthday at the hotel. The hotel staff prepared an incredible table with fruit and wine in the afternoon, and in the evening decorated the chain with flowers, balls and very warmly congratulated the birthday party for the most delicious personally prepared dinner. For his own, sufficiently saturated, for travel life, I will repeat, Never met such a great reception. Nishan, if you are reading my review now, know - you are one of the best people in my life! Thank you and your whole team for everything! We will definitely come back! As for the location of the hotel, it is also very convenient in terms of pedestrian access to the ocean, a lot of cafes, supermarket with products, alco market, spa salon. The hotel is very comfortable, the comfort betrays him a small number of rooms (only 12), green on the territory, a fairly spacious pool with a small jacuzzi area.
Triple O Six

Walking to the beach 200 meters, it is convenient to not belong to the first-line sea view. The hotel is newly built, it looks very good in the vicinity, and the breakfast is also rich. I booked two orders separately. The first night showed that I could only live one person. The second night was on the first floor of the pool. I sent an email to the hotel in advance to confirm whether I could live two people. The hotel quickly replied OK. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk took the initiative to arrange as much as possible not to let us change rooms, and we could always stay in the upstairs room. In the room, I saw the peacock flying on the roof and flying high coconut trees. The small squirrel was also a frequent visitor on the coconut tree.
The Spice House Mirissa

We arrived at Marissa's Spice House around 3 o'clock and were warmly welcomed by the manager, Ruwan, and his team. Ruwan gave us a tour of the property, which is even more impressive in person than in photos. The lush flora and tiered gardens are stunning, and while there are a few monkeys nearby, they’re not a bother. The lovely pool offers a perfect view of the gardens. That evening, we dined at Ruwan’s recommended local restaurant, Petti Petti, where the food and service were excellent. Tuk-tuks are easily accessible for getting around. The morning’s breakfast is delightful, featuring tea/coffee, fresh fruit, fruit juice, a traditional savoury, toast & condiments and even a piece of chocolate cake, making us reluctant to leave. Thoroughly enjoyed this little gem & I highly recommended it.
Villa Océane

A really memorable stay for me. The villa is just so peaceful and well maintained. Staff are courteous and they take care of you really well. The food is great and the rooms are amazing. The bathrooms also very clean. (Had a leaking bidet in my bathroom though which should be fixed soon) The view from the room and the closeness to the sea is something you cannot imagine, it’s like your living on the sea. We moved to a big hotel post staying at this place and just did not enjoy the hotel as much, because we were missing staying at this villa as much! Book this villa for the maximum days instead of moving around hotels, all the nearby places(Weligama, Mirissa, Ahangama, Hikkaduwa) you can travel and come back within a day considering the proximity. Met the owner too, who is a gem of a person. Hope to come back soon
Somerset Mirissa

Sometimes, serendipity leads you to unexpected delights, and that's exactly what happened with our stay at Somerset Blue Hotel. Initially, it wasn't our planned destination, but after a booking mishap, Somerset Blue Hotel emerged as an alternative, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! From the moment we stepped in, the hotel impressed us with its spacious, well-appointed rooms that were clean and comfortable. The heart of Somerset Blue, however, lies in its staff. The team, especially those at the restaurant and front office, were not just professional but genuinely caring and attentive. Their warmth and helpfulness added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel truly valued and cared for. While the food was satisfactory, what stood out was the level of attentiveness with which it was served. Each meal was a pleasant experience, not just for the flavors but also for the service that accompanied it. Our stay was comfortable in every aspect. The hotel's location is conveniently situated, making it easy to explore the surroundings. The amenities provided were more than sufficient, catering to all our needs and ensuring a hassle-free stay. Additionally, considering the quality, the food was well-priced, adding to the overall value of our stay.
