I was welcomed very well. I met one of the owners and he was nice, kind and professional. I felt at home despite the heavy journey I faced. The reception was very eclectic and with a strong personality. I was assigned the "aria" room, clean, tidy and very comfortable. A lot of attention to detail and honestly it should be given more stars. Excellent experience that I will repeat the next time I return to Milan.

Sono stato accolto da Matteo e Nicola con cortesia e tanta gentilezza. Sempre con il sorriso, molto cordiali e disponibili mi hanno fatto sentire a casa. Ottima la pulizia delle stanze e del resto della struttura; colazione super abbondante e molto buona, per non parlarvi degli aperitivi che preparano! Provare per credere!!! Con il loro aperitivo ci ho cenato, proprio perché c’è tanta roba e qualità. Ci tornerò sicuramente è il soggiorno lo consiglio vivamente, che sia per svago o per lavoro perché ci si rilassa e i proprietari sono i migliori

L' hotel è un po' atipico, (ingresso su androne, cortile interno, reception su seminterrato) ma l'esperienza è davvero ottima. Il gestore mi ha contattato già prima dell'arrivo per darmi informazioni su zona, parcheggio e arrivo. Non ha parcheggio interno ma intorno c'è spazio Stanza ben organizzata e pulita. Colazione buona e allegria.

Good value for Milan
The hotel/guesthouse is easily reached from the centre of Milan by metro followed by a short walk (past a nice bakery). Il Girasole looks unconventional, being a converted factory building. A nice courtyard is hidden behind a metal entrance door. Matteo and his brother are extremely nice hosts, who can provide enthusiastic advice on sightseeing in Milan.
Our room was one of the two behind the courtyard which, unfortunately, the WiFi signal from the main building didn't reach - but was fine if you sat outside near reception/breakfast room.
Room was clean and comfortable and spacious enough for chairs and a table. Bed was too firm for me (not my wife) so just luck of the draw.
No tea/coffee making facilities per the property description, but also no glass for a drink of water (complimentary bottle of water for the first night).
Nice breakfast: tea or coffee, a glass of fruit juice, a croissant and a salami and/or cheese roll.
