El Oceano Beach Hotel Adults Only Recommended

This place is absolutely superb! We've been coming for a few years, but had to stop during the pandemic and then because of health issues. We've been for dinner a couple of times in the last year or so, but stayed for Christmas this year (first time away from home at Christmas!) and it's the best decision we've made for a long time! The hotel itself is beautiful, and has such a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The views from the lounge area and the restaurant are just wonderful - I could have sat all day looking out to sea! The food as always was delicious and the staff are the best. If ever anyone is looking for a special place to stay in Spain, I can't recommend El Oceano highly enough.

Myself and my now wife stayed at El Oceano for a week in September 2024 during which we had our wedding ceremony at the hotel. The planning process for the wedding was made very straightforward by the hotel who provided recommended suppliers for each aspect of the day and then collaborated with each to make the day run smoothly. The ceremony and day itself exceeded any expectations we had and we had the best day of our lives. Special thanks to manager Veronika who was our point of contact during the planning process and wedding itself. Veronika was wonderful to deal with and couldn’t have done more for us during both planning and our stay at the hotel. We took the opportunity to stay at the hotel for a week in the Cosmopolitan Suite. This room is stunning and really made our stay and wedding week feel special. The service levels from all staff, especially those at the pool bar, is what really sets this hotel apart and keeps us coming back. I couldn’t recommend this hotel any more highly, a fantastic experience and memories for life.

We just loved this small hotel with great ambiance, staff, location and food. The restaurant with the sea-view is truly amazing. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. We had a penthouse suite as we stayed and celebrated our wedding with 70 guests here. Bar and restaurant staff are all so polite and glad. Feels like you are coming home every time.

Unfortunately, since our arrival, our experience has fallen short of expectations in several ways. Upon check-in, we were not provided with any essential information regarding the amenities, such as the pool or beach access. Additionally, on the evening of our arrival, we ordered food. Regrettably, we were overcharged for this meal, something we only noticed the following day. Next morning, we had breakfast consisting of one scrambled egg with toast and one poached egg. However, we were charged for a full continental breakfast, which does not reflect the meal we ordered. Moreover, the conduct of staff has been concerning. Throughout our stay, they have been rude, unhelpful, and at times, belittling, which has further diminished our experience. We were also not informed about a wedding event taking place today, which caused significant inconvenience. The event was held in the main area, where we were attempting to relax, and we had to walk through the wedding party to access the pool, which was highly uncomfortable. We made a complaint via email to the hotel unfortunately we were told we should have came in person, we were abused as to why we didn’t come in person and instead sent an email. No apologies was received we were charged full price for our stay and the told people make mistakes and this issue was not he hotels fault. Horrible to make a complaint in person for it not to be accepted and then be abused. We are deeply disappointed by the overall experience so far, especially given that we are only on our third night of a week-long stay. We had expected much better service, and it is disheartening to be faced with such a situation on what was meant to be a relaxing holiday.

Service was excellent , food is amazing from breakfast through to dinner . Staff very attentive and extremely nice . Pool staff were very smiley and couldn’t do enough for you . All staff were excellent that’s hard to come by at hotels . Liked our suite . Sunbeds were hugely comfy .
