3-Star Hotels in Midhurst

This hotel was an absolute joy to stay at. The hotel was lovely and clean and the rooms were authentic and cosy. All the staff from management to service staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The food was delicious in restaurant and again exception service. We enjoyed full use of the spa which was clean, ample fresh towels available and a lovey way to relax before dinner. I would thoroughy recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in the area.

In the heart of the old market town of Midhurst, The Angel B&B blends original character with fresh, contemporary design and modern facilities, such as free WiFi and parking. Originally a 17th-century Coaching Inn, The Angel retains a wealth of original features, which have been lovingly restored and enhanced during the recent refurbishment. Each of the en-suite rooms has been individually designed and furnished with carefully chosen antique furniture and quality fabrics. All of the rooms have TVs and telephones, and some have four-poster beds and original wooden beams.

When the quality is as good as I experienced, the lack of choice (half a dozen items on the menu including starters) simply isn't an issue. If you're only going to do a few things, do them well- and they certainly do. My wife and I shared two starters and two mains in front of a blazing fire, and I had two pints of the Harvey's Best which is a brilliant ale. We only popped in as the cafe across the road was packed, and I'm so glad we did. The ambience was relaxed, the staff attentive and the food simply fantastic. My onyl dissapointment was being too full to sample the dessert- so I cannot complain about portion size either. I would describe this as that rare combipnation of exceptional locally sourced quality food at a reasonable price point. So often we go out of a meal locally and are left bitterly disapointed, as we cook better ourselves every other night of the week. Not so here- we even asked the chef to elaborate on some of his offerings and took notes.
