We had a number of problems from the getgo. The room we were put in had electrical problems. They were able to move us to another room. The room they moved us to was generally nice. The AC was a little noisy otherwise we didn’t hear any noise from outside. Breakfast was good. We were getting ready to leave we noticed that all the cold water in the room had started to turn brown. May have been rust but the staff didn’t seem to know anything about the cause of the issue when we checked out. Makes us wonder about the safety of the water. A two star is the best I can do because the issues.

Kate Smith at Residence Inn Middleton delivered outstanding service from start to finish. Her responsiveness, kindness, and empathy ensured an enjoyable planning process. I would also like to acknowledge the woman who answered my call on 2/13 at 4PM. She was professional and answered all of my questions quickly. I know that she was busy at the desk, especially with the snow storm. Please let her know that she is doing a great job :)

Great location, reasonable rate, solid management and staff but just OK breakfast. We were here on a weekend in mid December. We were in a room in the top floor. The room itself was solid - very comfortable bed, well furnished, and the kitchen was just what we needed. If I had to stay in Newport for a decent amount of time this would be quite comfortable, as most Residence Inns are. Lots of furniture and places to spread out, although the tub in the bathroom is not ideal (I get it, familes stay in places like this - but we are older and prefer walk in showers. The hotel was surprisingly busy and our last night (Saturday) our floor got a little rowdy. Not sure what athletic event was in town (several very fit young ladies at breakfast) but they were running around and got a little loud fairly late into the evening. Never complained as we were watching football and have a sound machine and by the time we went to bed to go to sleep they had quited down. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special. The manager on hand (Mike I think) was a solid dude. I saw him there both days and noticed how he helps out cleaning the tables during breakfast on a Saturday. Very friendly but love how he is leading by example. Location is good, near everything in a more quiet street off the main drag. Would stay here again, although the price is a little more than I like to pay (but I assume is standard for the market). We paid $150ish the first night and $170 the second. Frankly there are not a ton of places to stay in our price range so we were happy overall

Awful hotel management. Hot tub doesn't work, the room smells and the worse part of everything was the breakfast, was really awful, awful and the food station and tables were dirty and they were washing the silverware the only available was a plastic spoon, the Waffles machine got empty as well the coffee thermos and they didn't change until people ask for more coffee and Waffles mix. This was at 8:40 am. So it's no excuse to has this kind of nasty and poor breakfast. From a year ago that I stayed in this hotel the quality has lower considerable. Sorry my English it's no perfect. but I think anyone will understand what I meant.

I just completed a two-night stay at the RI Newport and had a pleasant experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance to several shops and restaurants and about a 10 minute drive from downtown Newport. I would stay here again!

We have stayed at this location numerous times during April school breaks over the last 10 years. The cost for rooms in the area is much less at this time of the year. The hotel is always clean and we enjoy the included breakfast and eat-in area. There is also a nice outdoor patio area and propane fire pit if the weather allows. Our boys also found a little time to shoot hoops on the basketball court next to the firepit. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which has plenty of room for my wife and I and our two teenage boys. One kid on the pullout sleeper and one in the second bedroom. The pullout bed is typical of most pullout and not really that comfortable, but our youngest son preferred to have his own space. The room was clean and well-stocked. One of the most important things that we have noticed here is that the staff is extremely polite and helpful. Everyone we encountered always said good morning/good afternoon which we feel makes for a pleasant environment. One of the managers, Kate, was very helpful with modifying our reservation due to a change in our schedule. Kate also took the time to chat with us about our trip and things to do in the area each morning. This trip the weather was sunny and warm. Nearby activities that are within approximately 10-20 minutes from the hotel that we enjoy are the tour at Fort Adams, Car Museum in Plymouth, Brenton Point State Park, Sachuest Point, and Cliff Walk.

I was planned a weekend vacation with my family for that area. I was trusted name of marriot and reserved a room from this hotel but i was wrong. Staffs and breakfast were really terrible. You cant find a coffe after breakfast at loby. Front desk is always invisible. Also they were accepting dogs and you hear their barks ! We didnt not see and smiled face during 2 days there. When we request a simple cleaning for second they they directly rejected it with hidding hotel policy??! Where as first policy must be customer satisfaction! They were mentioned about breakfast as GOOD BREAKFAST in advertisment but Its was too terrible. Frozen things. As a result this hotel deserves only 1 or 2 stars. And not good for families. Never again!
