This place looks great on the internet. But, stay away. Spend your money elsewhere. We had a horrible experience for New Year's. A complete let down. I made reservations 3 weeks ahead and they still could not get it right: the service and attitude were horrible. One example of how the night went: They asked weeks before for any allergies. I let them know about my avocado allergy. What do I get for my first course of this5 course meal? Avocado. I explained to the waiter about my allergy. He came back with the same plate saying there was nothing they could do because the avocado was mixed in to the dish. ”But, I have an allergy, and I let you all know about this 3 weeks ago.” He shrugged, and that was basically his attitude the entire night. None of the courses came out at the same time. Mine (the vegan menu) continually came out much later than everyone else. He never offered us water or checked on us... I have never written a negative review, but I need to do so in this case because we felt robbed by this place: both financially and robbed of having a good New Year's experience. The bad management is obvious and in trickles down to the service at the table. Like another reviewer said: spend your money elsewhere! This place has beautiful pictures and the fame of enveloping you in a luxurious experience, which it may have had a while ago. But, it's not true now. Don't buy they hype: it's false.

A 286 room 5 star hotel, situated in the heart of the commercial and financial district and only 100 meters away from the romantic Paseo Montejo. Take a carriage ride to downtown (only 10 minutes) and enjoy the wonderful paintings by Pacheco in the Government Palace. The hotel opened in March of 1994.

This was my second time staying here. On this trip, I needed a very early check in and as a globalist, they made my room available super early which I appreciated after my red eye. Breakfast and the property are really nice. Lots of construction as they are redoing a large part of the hotel. Pool area is mediocre. Staff is great. Regular rooms are mediocre but the suites (which I stayed in on a previous trip) are amazing! Hotel location is decent depending what you want to do. Overall had a great stay.

This Intercontinental is rather different from usual. The location is great but was unexpected that it will be just along the noisy street in an ancient building which before used to be another hotel. So it is rather old (in perception not in amenities). The rooms are specific but good and comfortable. We've checked the Hyatt which is right after the corner but that Hyatt is luxury and as everywhere. And this Intercontinental is special - you feel as if you are in colonial times. The hotel is narrow (in corridors). The open door pool is tiny. The breakfast selection is good but not so wide. So general impression is very good. The personnel is very friendly but not so much and good speaking English. So some time we needed in order to adopt ourselves to this experience but generally we are pretty much satisfied. We've stayed here for 8 night so can judge. :-).

We stayed here for one night in December 2022. The hotel is very well located, just a couple of blocks from the main square. All around there are plenty of shops and restaurants. We stayed on the 10th floor and there was little noise. We stayed in what I think is called a ”studio” room, which was quite small: not much room around the bed. Other people in our group stayed in rooms with two double beds and their rooms were quite large. Overall, the hotel was ok, but not flash.
Ibis Mérida Dynamic stands apart through being pet-friendly, quality and good service! Excellent Location ibis Mérida is very close to the Convention Center, next to the American Consulate, 5 minutes from downtown, 20 min. from the Intl airport... and ideally located to explore the "White City" and tourist destinations of Uxmal and Chichen-Itza. Our rooms are sound- and lightproof for a pleasant rest.

The facilities are new and sanitary. They are cleaned every day. The staff are super patient and very good. I went straight to check in at 8 o'clock that morning and didn't say anything. I gave full marks to this point. The location of the hotel is pretty good in Merida. It’s probably more convenient to drive next to the main street of the boulevard and not far from the bus station. I don’t know why Ctrip scores so low.
Find us on the edge of Uptown Mérida Mall, steps from dining and shopping, adjacent to the Monumento a las Haciendas. We're within seven kilometers of central Mérida, Mérida Cathedral, and the antiquated architecture of Paseo de Montejo. Mayapan Mayan ruins are a 45-minute drive from us. Enjoy our fitness center, outdoor pool, and restaurant.

Just spent 2 nights here but found the hotel to be well connected with free parking, shopping and restaurants; what else do you need? It is actually connected to a shopping center that has a Walmart. We ate at two of the three restaurants located in the mall and found others that we tried as well. Nice décor and good size comfortable rooms. Hope to return one day.

It is common to stay there and without any complaints. Except for the bed that we touched this time that was somewhat uncomfortable. for breakfast it was fine. collaborators are nice people when you ask for their help.

Outstanding
Eeliset vThe hotel is nothing short of beautiful and breathtaking aesthetically! You are in great care in every way with the staff and the hotel owner in every way you can of. They are all very catering and friendly ! They make some delicious food and make you feel at home! Very clean and replenished daily! I celebrated my birthday their and they made me a beautiful towel decorate cake just like in a cruise ship. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful hotel boutique it’s a whole and memorable experience, you won’t regret it ! Very central to all the downtown attractions and walking distance to the Mercado, cathedral , and various plazas nearby ! Definitely going back to stay with them soon !
LLiI stayed in Residence Inn Merida for a month in January 2024. I liked the location and services. It’s very close to the Galleria Mall, Costco and a large grocery store. You can take bus R72 to Central Merida which is very convenient if you don’t have a car or don’t want to drive. The room is clean and equipped with full kitchen. The breakfast is included. The front desk staffs are also helpful. They helped us to arrange two private day trips to Maya sites and cenotes. The only thing I would recommend is to improve the quality and add more choices to the breakfast. Not many varieties of breakfast. The refrigerator is a little bit noisy at night.
GGuest UserI went with my son for medical reasons and I must say the people were very accommodating they had excellent customer service the lady that cleaned our room for the days we stayed was amazing forgot to ask her name but she was great. Ac worked perfect no complaints hot water at our disposal the only thing we didn’t like are the channels available on the tv. But all in all nice place. The pool is or was clean while we were there no complaints.
NNikkilaoshiService was great we arrived almost 8pm. Be aware we did not stay at the address listed but there are 3 properties 2 mins walking to each other. We arrived at the address and there was a sign with a number to call or contact on WhatsApp. They answered quickly and came to get us and our luggage to checkin at the main building then led us to the other (3rd location). Our room room was small but clean. The pool in our building was the biggest but there was leaves inside looked unmaintained but not gross…fairly clean. There was a little “kitchen” with a fridge and microwave and coffee maker which looked like it hasn’t been used in a long time before getting to the pool…there were 2 sets of chairs at the pool. Now at the main building the complimentary continental breakfast was fruit, yogurt, granola, and coffee. The optional buffet was 190 pesos and WELL worth it many options and delicious. The main building pol was very cute and we loved the complimentary “steam bath” which is a steam room with shower heads…need to let them know 10 mins before to preheat it. They also helped arrange our excursion to cenotes which was cheaper than we saw elsewhere. We communicated thru WhatsApp no complaints I’d stay here again….we struggled with hot water often it was lukewarm but apparently that’s a thing in this area. It’s close enough to the popular area called “centro” about a 25 min walk and 10 mins to the US consulate
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of my trip to Progreso, February 28th and March 30th, as I was arriving late and departing early. Both of my rooms were impeccably clean, the amenities were provided and well stocked with towels. The closets are huge and contain an iron and a safe large enough for a laptop. Upon my first check-in I was advised the hours of the restaurant and was politely asked that if I was planning on bringing in food or alcohol from outside to please consume it in my room and not in the restaurant. This is not an unreasonable request, one would not walk into a hotel restaurant at home and sit down with a pizza and six pack. I had a comfortable night's rest and a delicious breakfast at the restaurant in the morning. Check out was noon and my ride was not arriving until 2:30 so they kindly stored my luggage and I enjoyed sitting by the pool while I waited. My second visit was for my return flight, I checked in just after 3:00 and was offered a wake up call and arrangement of a taxi to take me to the airport. I spent my last day of vacation enjoying a late lunch/early supper and a couple of cold beverages poolside before heading to my room to turn in early. My wake up call came precisely @4:00 and my taxi was there @5:00 as requested. I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it, the staff are outstanding, the hotel is spotless and the restaurant food and service are fabulous. Masks were required at all times in public areas, unless you were eating or drinking, this policy was adhered to by all staff and guests.
We stayed one night before flying out of Merida and that was enough. Perfectly safe place but obviously older and not the cleanest or best maintained. Room was large but half-empty and simple. Beds were not very comfortable. No elevator. No breakfast. Lovely courtyard and small pool area which people enjoyed. It was worth what we paid (very inexpensive) and we felt safe, but is not for relaxing or being pampered. There are better options nearby for slightly more money.
GGuest UserWell hotel, I think the place is good for the price, the service equal was good, although I think they could improve some things: 1. - The toilets had a lot of saroso and that gives a bad image, I think they could focus more on their cleaning, the bathrooms as well had saroso. 2. - I think they should mention guests since they check-in the hotel is small and therefore everything is heard very strong, I mention this why we had a disadvantage with a family that started crying at 5:40am and ended up until 7:00: 00am even if it is noticed to reception guests have noticed, I think they should be a little more careful with these situations.
