Travelled in September as a family with a 16 month old and 4 year old. Stayed 10 nights. Really apprehensive about staying after reading reviews and was on the verge of cancelling , particularly as we never have stayed anywhere 2 star before however, I am so glad we didn’t cancel. We stayed in A block and had a ground floor room looking directly onto the splash pool. Rooms were basic and a little dated however, fit for purpose. Beds comfortable enough. Bathroom clean and water was scorching hot. TV has English channels including CBeebies which anyone with young children will know is a godsend. Kids made up as they could run in and out between the room and the splash pool. Our room was cleaned every other day and bedding change after 7 nights. Pool area was cleaned without fail every morning around 7am / 7.30. No issue with sun loungers - the place didn’t seem to get going until 10am. Things may be different peak season. Staff on reception lovely. Bar staff great. Maintenance / Cleaners always polite. Entertainment team always made the effort to say hello and made the effort with the little ones around the pool. We didn’t watch any of the entertainment so cannot comment on this. There is a supermarket outside the hotel and some things are expensive (imported products) but it is what it is. In our opinion, not much to do outside the complex. There is a ***** of restaurants /bars but they don’t appear to get going til around 6pm. Ate at a few restaurants and also had a number of different takeaways, all similar price. Only restaurant which stood out for us was The Orient ( we visited 3 times). Other than that, all a bit the same. There is a little beach 20 mins walk away which is clean. We got a taxi into the town which cost around 10 euro and was worth the run out for a change of scenery. Ultimately, we just wanted a lazy holiday and somewhere that had a pool and bits to keep the kids entertained and that’s what we got.

Stayed here the last week of August, upon arrival room was very battered cupboards hanging off the hinges, wires hanging out of wall lights, broken smoke alarm on the floor, patio doors and windows did not lock properly. I did not feel safe. I asked for the room to be changed but was told it was not possible, spoke to the rep the following day he also said it was not possible but did ask for photos of problems with the room which some of the concerns were addressed and rectified but not all. There is a theft problem, people were having items taken from the room terrace. I did mention this to reception staff but no comment was made but they didn't seem surprised like they know this is happening. Access can be gained to the complex by anyone no carded entry, I know it's Menorca and everything is a bit dated, but some kind of security is needed. The pool area is very slippery I nearly went over a few times even with flip flops on, sun bed situation was bad not enough beds and you are all on top of each other most of the loungers touching so no personal space at all, this didn't effect us as we were in the pool with very young children not sunbathing, but clearly not enough space. Although the hotel does have 2 other pools one was very small though. Kids enjoyed the splash park. I often saw people putting their towels out at 11pm at night to reserve sun loungers even though sign says they will be removed if towels are on beds before 9am, I never saw anyone enforce this 🤣 again didn't effect us but would probably effect other's. The complex is very noisy even at midnight people are running round screaming and shouting. It depends what you are used to but this is not what we like on our family holidays. The spa was very nice hired out for an hour whilst there was a storm. Hotel is in a good location and is close to the old town only a few minutes on the bus which stops outside the hotel. There are quite a few restaurants a short walk down the road, something to suit all budgets. On site supermarket was well stock and we managed to get everything we needed. Everything at the hotel is an paid extra even the safe so be prepared to pay. I would not stay here again it was very overpriced and badly maintained. I would not recommend to stay here if u have standards, unless you wanted to just use it as a base to explore and it was going at rock.bottom price. TUI must agree things are not right here since they have issued me compensation!

We booked a 'cheap and cheerful' one week stay at Talayot Appartments. We were very pleasantly surprised as we had read some negative reviews. The appartment was clean and contained everything we needed. Towels were changed every other day. We were in T block and had a beautiful view of one of the many pools at the resort. The pool area was cleaned daily and the surrounding gardens were well kept. We were self-catering and the large, well stocked supermarket across the road had everything we needed. The holiday was very good value for money and I would struggle to find anything negative to say about it. Would definitely stay here again.

I have just returned from a 7 night holiday to the Talayot with my family. We were in the B block which was a perfect location. We had a 2 bed (B5) ground floor & my daughter had a 1 bed (B6) 1st floor. They were both nice apartments & had really good sized balcony. The rooms are basic but absolutely fine. Rooms cleaned, beds & towels changed every other day. We stayed round main pool & was cleaned every morning. Going in September it wasn't busy so no rush for sunbeds. The only thing that I wasn't keen on was the music round the pool as it was a very odd choice & sometimes very loud. I would definitely go again as a nice area with lots of very good restaurants. This was the 2nd time I've been to the Talayot & 3rd time to the area. The 1st time we were in an AI hotel but would definitely recommend going SC as so many lovely places to eat.

gteat place to stay everything on-site great for family’s with young kids. If you’re a couple maybe September will be better kids gone back to school , we were here from end of August to 8th of September and lot more couples arriving, if you have walking disability remember it’s avoid 20 minutes into the main eating and drinking places. All in all very good place.

Exceptional; totally exceeded expectations. Seemed to be the only reasonably priced holiday for a family of 6 so felt nervous it wasn't going to be great... But it was! 7 brilliant pools offering different things. SUPER child friendly. (We have 4+2yo). Lots of different play areas, go karts, kids club, tennis courts, entertainment. The staff are so lovely. Restaurant on site was brilliant but also PLENTY of decent restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Close to a very safe beach (cala en blanes) - shallow, still, warm, small. Fantastic supermarket literally over the road. Accomodation was lovely - not luxury, but perfect for what we needed and spacious. The site is SO clean! Pools are cleaned and tested every day, our apartment was cleaned regularly and always maintenance team visible, working hard, pruning gardens etc. honestly, nothing bad to say about it - we had an amazing time!

Ok so I think it’s fair to say this review is a balanced one. Facilities Number of pools - good Parks and other areas - good Rooms - overall good Entertainment Day - bit samey and not enough content really and all aimed around the main pool which was massively over crowded. The 2 pools over near the kids club were much better for young families. Night time was good, good variety etc. Food Pizzas were ok Paella was good Everything else, which sadly mirrored the bulk of the Los Delphines area of Calan Forcat, not that great. If you wanted to self cater we had 2 hot rings and a microwave! Again not the best. Overall it was a good stay and as I said the facilities were good but with the absence of decent restaurants in the area the hotels offering wasn’t really to the level the rest of the site was. Bar staff and all the hotel and TUI staff were absolutely lovely. Like I said at the start, a balanced review, some good but restaurant was a weakness.

Transfer from the airport took around 50 minutes, and check-in was a breeze — we were in our room by 12:00, which was a great start. Initially, we were placed in M block, but as the balcony was right next to the entertainment area, we requested a quieter room. The staff were very accommodating and moved us to T block, which was perfect — peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are a little dated, as you’d expect from a 2-star, but very clean and comfortable. Our air conditioning didn’t work, but the hotel provided a temporary unit. Unfortunately, it was too noisy to run at night, and although fans were offered, they never arrived. Still, we appreciated the effort. The T block pool area was lovely and calm, a nice contrast to the busier main pool. The snack bar served burgers, hot dogs and more — good for a quick bite, though we preferred having lunch on our balcony and exploring the many local restaurants in the evenings. The surrounding resort area of Los Delfines felt a little tired, with some closed buildings, but there were still plenty of restaurants to choose from. Throughout the hotel, everything was spotless, and the kids’ club staff were always visible and friendly. Evening entertainment was a hit with our children — the circus and magician acts were their favourites, and the “Pete Bridge” dance became the highlight of their day. Overall, this is a clean, welcoming hotel with great family-friendly touches. A few small improvements would make it even better, but we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

As a family we love this place, we come in 2024 as well and this year was even better. The staff at this place are incredible and work their socks off from morning till night, always happy to help. The food, the kids loved the food here and so did we although we did eat out at restaurants a lot, we had most dinners here and there was NOTHING at all wrong with the food. The local restaurants are incredible L,Ancora, Yucca, Es Replec, Rosario are all worth a visit. The location of this place is PERFECT, situated close to all the restaurants and water park, 10-15 minute walk to cala blanes beach, 10 minutes to cala brut (where you can jump off platforms into the sea) and a short walk to other local beaches, they are only small but stunning. You NEED to visit the sunset bar (just past Yucca) for the sunset of course and some lovely drinks, they also serve food as does Coral, Sunsets are STUNNING!. This place is PERFECT for families and it's a little gem, rooms cleaned, new towels etc etc, pools were cleaned EVERYDAY. Again, we LOVE this place and I'm sure we'll be back again soon.
