Hualta Hotel Mendoza, Curio Collection by Hilton

I enjoyed my extended stay (almost three weeks) at the Hualta Hotel Mendoza,Curio Collection by Hilton. As a long-time Hilton Diamond, I have stayed at many hotels around the world, and I can honestly say the staff at this hotel was the absolute finest--none better. From check-in to check-out, the entire staff was terrific--friendly and professional. While there are too many to list individually, the first person I met--Emilia--set the stage for all the interactions. She was positive, friendly, and professional. My room was large and well-appointed, although I was not a big fan of the stainless steel sink and countertop. It reminded me of an airport or stadium restroom, rather than a five-star hotel. The amenities in the hotel were top-notch, and the breakfast in the restaurant was quite good, although it was the same every day. Of course, most guests are not there for as long as I was, so this is an issue more unique to me any other long-term guests. The wi-fi was fast and stable, and the fitness center was OK. But I preferred to run through the local area. The hotel has an excellent location near most of the key business and tourist sites in Mendoza, and easy access to outdoor activities and wineries. Many restaurants and shops are a five-minute or less, walk for the hotel. But, there is a noise issue in this hotel. The outdoor courtyard and the bar are nice, but when there are events, the noise is quite pronounced in the room. And there are times when you either cannot or don't want to attend these types of events, so the noise level makes it difficult to work or get rest. Also, the noise across rooms is a bit more noticeable than what I typically experience in well-regarded hotels, but this is nowhere near the issue as is the noise arising from the outdoor area. Overall--This is an excellent hotel for many reasons--the primary ones being the quality of the staff and the overall quality of the rooms and amenities. However, management needs to address the noise issue to raise the hotel to an even higher level of quality.

Great modern hotel. We had a spacious, comfortable room with a huge bed. The only criticism is the toilet squeezed behind the door that should have been put somewhere easier to get to. Nice breakfast and dinner at La Cabrera restaurant was also very good. Would stay there again.

Hotel estate is composed of three separate hotels, which share some services. Sheraton is the biggest having a garage, gym and pool, which Hualta guests can use. Hotel is nicely decorated having a modern look and feel. Room was nice. Good shower (not in bath tub!), good bed, enough space for clothes. Big tv set. Effective air-conditioning. Breakfast was not extensive but good. Service was prefessional and frindly apart from terrace bar. I waited there 30 minutes for a glass of wine, and once contacted waiter inside. Nobody ever came.
