My family and I enjoyed our recent stay at Citadines on Burke Melbourne. The standout positives were:
1. Staff Service: Check-in was excellent. The staff were warm, professional, and very helpful, setting a welcoming tone immediately.
2. Room Size: Plenty of room for luggage and for everyone to move around without feeling cramped.
3. Bathroom Amenities: The provided toiletries were nice quality and appreciated.
Items for improvements:
The spaciousness makes this hotel ideal for families. However, to make them truly perfect for families like ours, I'd suggest the management consider offering some room options with two queen-size beds to enhance comfort and sleep quality for parents and children sharing the room.
Despite this suggestion, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay thanks to the great service, ample space, and good facilities. We would definitely consider staying again.

I stayed at 3 hotels all near Flagstaff stations for this trip, just to try something new and compare. Excellent location and the Flagstaff garden is at the opposite. The Pegasus has a real kitchen and utensils since it's an apartment hotel. No view at all but it's ok for a night's stay. The bed is so soft but so as the Radisson and the Jazz hotel so I guess it's the standard?.. Staffs had reasonable service, but I overheard the guest in front of me checked out 30mins later than he should and the staff were not happy about it at all, like teacher talking to a misbehaved student. Overall it's price for money.

Traveling to the airport was super convenient thanks to the nearby SkyBus. The hotel also offers luggage storage, which made things even easier for us. Our room was very spacious and looked exactly like the photos—clean, modern, and sweetly comfortable. The bedding was especially nice and cozy.
The layout of the hotel is a bit complex, so it took us a little while to find our room, and it was a bit of a walk from the elevator. Still, once we settled in, everything was great.
We didn’t use many of the hotel’s facilities, but we did enjoy the gaming area located at the back of the lobby—it was really fun and a nice bonus. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay.
I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay close to the SkyBus!

The check in was very late from our side in the night and we didn't realized that reception will be closed after 8pm. And also no one was reachable for this late check in. Even a phone number was on the door, but no one answered 😒
The room is big but a little bit bad smelling. Also it's not really clean.

Typical sterile boring but very functional Hotel. Not much difference in many of these types of hotels dotted around the city. It is purely there to do what it advertisers to do which is provide a comfortable night accommodation but has about as much excitement and spark as my 95-year-old grandfather. 👴…. It’s as boring as you would expect it to be sitting off the edge of the city. however, the rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable so no complaints in that respect. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a night accommodation purely for a night accommodation. unfortunately this is where hotels are heading in this functional world of ours. Boring but functional. If there was a pod hotel in Melbourne, I would definitely stay there instead of here as at least a pod hotel will have a travel vibe to it.

Extremely satisfied with my stay! The facilities are new, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The bedding was so comfortable, it felt just like being at home. It's quiet and well-kept, offering excellent value for money. A superb choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Facilities: Very new, the room was odorless, but the elevator and the first-floor hallway both had a strong odor.
Cleanliness: A new hotel, impeccable cleanliness.
Environment: The interior was very nice. The room window had no view, but it was very close to the building opposite, so I could clearly see across, so I kept the curtains closed the entire time.
Service: Chinese service was available, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good, and the staff were very welcoming. The honey was quite unique and made fresh 🥚.

The reception staffs are very nice especially the male staffs and take good care of you but the cleaning staffs are not very friendly and the female staffs are a bit fierce and the room downstairs is noisy all night long every night. It would be great if there is a time limit on weekdays. Will definitely go back with family + friends.

There is currently no hot water on the second floor. It is recommended to inform the front desk before checking in. It is winter in Melbourne. After taking a shower, I went to the front desk to report it to the staff. The staff very politely told me that hot water is currently only available on the first floor. I am very grateful to him! But it is too late!!
It is recommended to directly post a notice that there is no hot water on the second floor...

1. Location near to QVM otherwise easily a 10-15 mins to majority eateries and place of interest
2. Liquid Detergent only a Sachet would prefer a dispenser (wall mount) with proper sponge
3. Heater was not working on 2 nights and on the 2nd night have to get someone from front desk to check it out (2.40am) it was running 16•C when we set it to 30•C. Front desk guy was helpful gave us 1 portable heater and 3 thick blankets. Next day it was fixed.
4. Would prefer separate for Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower foam vs combination
5. Hanger in the open wardrobe can be improved it was crooked
6. Pillows were simply too soft asked for additional ones
7. Housekeeping need to be requested and they did just tidying up bedsheets and throwing of trash generally acceptable
Would have chosen another location if I would like to have more accessibility to shopping or eating places
8. Carpark charges is $39/night a bit on the costly side
9. Lift by the way connects to the carpark shown as UG but it was not shown and having to take the stairs for past days till the last day
10. Nice lobby with good seating areas and water dispenser machine

Amazing
XXiaojiaCame here as a ‘staycation’ for one night to celebrate my partners birthday. Service was good, the reception team made us feel so welcomed. Room was clean and the view of the river and bay was superior, as the name of this room type described. 10/10 👍🏼 we also used the gym which had a nice view too!

BBelinda JaneWe had an another amazing stay here. Staff warmth and approachability is a stand out. Rooms are clean and comfy. Best location for the Southbank DFO, and so many restaurants on the Yarra right outside, topped of with an easy 10 minute walk to Southern Cross station for the express airport bus.

AAnonymous UserThe room was very clean and quiet, and the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However, one major disappointment was the “city view” — despite purchasing a city view room, there was no actual city view, which was quite disappointing at first. That said, the outstanding service made up for it overall.
The pillow selection in the room was very limited and the pillows themselves were quite small and uncomfortable — they didn’t really feel like proper pillows, which was also disappointing. Additionally, the desk lamp was not working properly and kept flashing, and the room lighting setup was inconvenient; there was no option to select which areas to light up, so the room often felt too bright.
The room service menu offered very limited food choices, so we ended up going out for both dinner and breakfast. Lastly, the shower head switch was extremely tight and difficult to turn, which needs improvement.

DDeklazThe hotel is located at the downtown free tram zone, next to a large train station, where there are many food stores and supermarkets. It is also next to the express skybus to airport. Location wise, it is a perfect choice. However, the hotel seems to be renovated from a historical building. Though it is well-tasty renovated, it is partially renewed only. The door to toilet is too old and literally creaky when open. The wall in toilet is built by plasterboard with poor sound proof. You can hear sounds from next door in the toilet. Service by the staff could be improved too. Btw, maybe staying at downtown Melbourne may not be a good choice. The hotel is not far away from police headquarters. I heard loud siren more than once every night during my stay. The street has a number of homeless day and night.

LLianggeqingpingguoThe guy at the front desk was very nice. He took the initiative to help me change to a higher floor, asked about my flight time, and arranged for a late check-out at 2 o'clock.
The club lounge is generally ok, except for the fact that one of the lounge waitresses was a bit impatient when we checked in on the first day. She frowned when we called her because we were Asian? They are very nice to white foreigners. Treat differently.

GGuest UserThe room is large, both bedrooms have bathrooms, and a public bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living room and dining room are large, and there are three balconies. The scenery is good, and it is perfect for family travel. There is a convenience store downstairs, which is very convenient. It's not far from the Melbourne Cricket Ground. If Swift's concert hadn't caused the house price to rise so much, I would have stayed here for 6 nights. The shortcomings are that I didn’t clean the room on the last day. I don’t know if I forgot about it.

XXixidexuxuThe room is old, and the shower station is a bathtub.
The overall feeling is like an old hotel in China, but it is clean and tidy. The water table is also clean, as is the toilet.
It is quite comfortable to sit in the small living room, and there is a botanical garden at the door, and the air is great.

YYew Siong TanNovotel Melbourne on Collins was a fantastic base for our family trip! The location truly is perfect – having multiple free city tram stops within 100 meters made exploring effortless. We easily walked to major spots like Flinders Street Station and the stunning State Library Victoria. Food options were plentiful nearby, making ”food hunting” a breeze.
A major plus for us was the onsite parking. Renting a car was stress-free knowing we had a guaranteed, convenient spot each night (parking fee applicable, refer to hotel front desk).
The room was impressively spacious, comfortably accommodating our family of two adults and a kid. Having two queen-size beds was ideal – everyone had plenty of room to sleep well.
**Things that could elevate the experience further:**
1. Breakfast Variety: While the breakfast was good, a wider selection of hot and cold options would be appreciated, especially for a longer stay.
2. TV Upgrade: The current TV channel is very limited. Upgrading to Smart TVs with access to streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube would be a huge improvement for in-room entertainment, especially for families with young kids / toddler.
3. Shaving Kit Quality:The provided shaving kit's ”cream” (which was a soap) and blade weren't great. Offering a slightly higher quality kit with proper shaving cream would be a noticeable touch.
**Overall:** We had a very comfortable and convenient stay thanks to the unbeatable location, easy parking, and spacious family room. Addressing the breakfast variety, TV upgrade, and shaving kit quality would easily push this towards a perfect 5-star experience. Highly recommended, especially for families needing space and city access.
