We stayed in Holiday Inn Werribee for a week and our accommodation included breakfast. The reception services on 8/F was excellent. In particular, Ms Lolita was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was located on 8/F. The breakfast was buffet style. The food in general was good.
Our room was spacious.
There were ample parking spaces on 3/F for hotel guests. The only problem was when I exited the garage every day, I had to inform the parking attendant via untercom that I was a hotel guest before I could exit. That's a bit annoying. Hotel reception staff had tried to rectify this issue 3 times but in vain.

In order to make it easier to live near the Great Ocean Road Skydiving the next day, first-class facilities, independent villas, living room kitchen on the first floor, large rooms with balcony on the second floor, parking is free at the door, very convenient, just a few steps to carry luggage, front desk The staff is very enthusiastic. It should be noted that the check-in time is before 8 pm. I wanted to check in later, but the telephone reception said that I must arrive before 8 pm, which is not very convenient. Otherwise, the front desk will be late for check-in.

Location:
The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Nights were serene with barely any car noise. It’s about a 10-minute drive to a nearby mall with Coles, Kmart, and other essentials—super convenient. For travelers, it’s around 40 minutes from the airport, which is manageable.
Cleanliness:
This was a mixed bag. Upon entering, we noticed a burnt iron mark and several purple stains on the carpet. We made sure to report these to reception immediately due to the $300 AUD bond fee, to avoid being held responsible.
Being close to a lake or river meant encountering mosquitoes and some large flies. We also found spiders in the bathroom, but we managed to catch and release them outdoors. Towels provided were an issue—one was dirty when we checked in, and even the replacement towel the next day had stains. However, the beds were spotless, which was a relief.
Service:
The front desk staff were excellent—friendly, thorough, and accommodating. They explained all the amenities, including the location of the gym and pool, and handled our late checkout request graciously.
Facilities:
Although I didn’t personally use the gym or pool, the in-room facilities stood out. The smart TV was a bonus, with access to YouTube, Disney+, and Prime Video, ensuring entertainment for the family.
Room:
The two-bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious, with two bedrooms flanking a central living room. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, complete with an exhaust fan to keep the heat out. The beds were the highlight—so soft and comfortable, providing an excellent night’s sleep.
Overall:
While the initial issues with bugs were unpleasant (I dislike insects), once we cleared them out, the stay became very enjoyable. The spacious layout, serene environment, and cozy beds made it a pleasant experience overall.

We booked a week long stay with our daughter, we missed the first day of room service attending to the room we put our sign out for a clean on Good Friday and received a text message to say all room cleaning would resume the following Tuesday.
Good Friday I can understand as it’s a very significant holiday but the Saturday Sunday and Monday I found to be bizarre and the only place I’ve ever had this occur.
The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and in a fantastic location but the lack of servicing over a long weekend when you have a family holiday doesn’t really work.

GGuest User2022.05.23
Very disappointed with my stay at this venue. I was there for 3 nights and after the first night I was looking elsewhere for accommodation.
There was a knocking sound coming from the ceiling all night which was similar to Indian water torture, needless to say, had hardly any sleep. I approached the front counter in the morning to ask about the noise and was told that management are aware of the issue and they've had tradesmen checking it out. Apparently it has something to do with the new heating system in the games room and there is nothing that can be done about it. I asked if I could change rooms but was told it happens in all rooms, it wouldn't make a difference.
Poor form Night cap, this should have been conveyed when the booking was made.
The cleaners came through twice and on both occasions left the fridge door open which let my drinks warm up to room temperature. The first time it happened I had pizza in the fridge which had to be thrown out. These people couldn't even make the bed properly, leaving the sheets screwed up in the middle of the bed and just covering it over with the doonah.
Never again will I go to a Night cap venue, it's obvious they have no care for the paying customers.

Very Good
GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.
SSlim90We were warmly welcomed and assist with the check in by jays. She is friendly and polite making the check in an ease. The room was clean and spacious, the bed were very comfortable. Air con was working well. There’s a kitchen component which was handy as I like fruits. Our room is on the 9 floor and facing very closely to the next building which I felt a little watched. The hotel has a gym and a semi heated indoor pool and sauna which is lovely, you can go anytime without checking the weather. Trams just right below and eateries around, very convenient. On our last day, it was raining and Desmond went beyond and above to shelter us with umbrella to our cab. I had a good deal with the platform I booked with and I think it was value for money for us and we enjoyed ourselves at the hotel. Highly recommend :)
WWan ShiPros: Good location from Skybus, Good self-laundry service and free breakfast (but limited and basic options)
Cons:
- Curtain was not working but we didn't report it cuz we checked in and midnight and will be checking out early the next day
- Located next to a club so you would still hear thumping sound even though we were on the 19th floor. So if you're a light sleeper, better request for higher floors.
- You have to call the reception at the entrance for late check-in as the doors were locked. We didn't notice the instructions to call and thought we were at the side entrance. So we walked around the block until we realized that there was only one entrance.
- Poor bathroom door design that doesn't fully prevent water from wetting the dry areas
GGuest UserThe Novotel Melbourne Airport is very conveniently located near Terminal 4 of the airport. It was a short walk to catch our international flight. All is well with the hotel's room, where it was clean and was well provided for. However, they need to look into their self check-in kiosks which none worked no matter which one I tried. As a result, the check-in queue was long as we had to wait for 2 agents to check ALL of us in.
AAlphard Reyesalright not really all about this reviewer life but considering i spend 10 days i figured id give my experience so yall can decide better. will be sorting my scores thru ff criterias bellow:
1. LOCATION⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: it literally at the edge of the “free tram zone” that Melbourne CBD has. it is one free tram ride away to your postcard landmark, Flinders Station. 5 min walk to Southern Cross for all your out-of-Melbourne trips, including the airport skybusses. Theres a pub in the first floor for food and drinks, a 7/11 round the corner, and a liquor store, pizza, vietnamese restaurant, and a kebab all withinh walking distance. Its practically perfect for its price location-wise.
2. BLDG and AMENITIES: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You can tell the bldg is old. Walls were obviously too thin than regular bldgs since I visitied MEL during the winter seasom and was heavily dependent on the heater, which works splendidly! They have a guest laundry room, where for 5AUD, you can get a big load of laundry done. the only downside is it’s literally located in a sort of maze around the back of the building, so if youre like me and you forget ur laundry bag, youre gonna have to parade around like a fashion model dressed by french-japanese model from comme de garscons. I also had an issue with the key access during after-hours entry, both of which, by the grace of the land gods, was solved by another visitor coming in late. Brought up this issue with the Staff and they were more than happy to fix the card! apparently my room specifically, 219, has issues in their system or whatever. which brings me to my next criterion. The hotel shares a common hallway to a Thai massage parlor (which gets you a free discount coupon) and a bar/pub/diner thats open from early breakfast til late in the night. no bellhop though so youll have to carry your luggage all by your lonesome!
2.5 ROOM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: As said before the room was pretty cold if you dont turn on the heater. But it was extremely clean! the bathroom was neat and hot water available 24/7 (some
airbnbs could never), and there’s single room necessities like a water boiler, a tiny fridge, and a big and powerful hair dryer. all of which work perfectly. they stop by every morning to ask if you want your towels replaced (if your privacy sign is up) and clean the room per request.
3. STAFF: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️amazing and super nice! and cheerful! i already interacted with them since i accidentally canceled my reservation due to misunderstandings and had spent some change calling from overseas. they were easy to talk to and very understanding. That wouldve been 600usd wasted! They answered all my questions about the city, tips, and guides and all other inquiries.
overall: my stay was amazing and definitely felt safe leaving my personal belongings while i went about traipsing around melbourne and surrounding land and shore marks. def recommend for a solo traveler traveling light!
AAnonymous UserThis hotel has the worst service of any Hyatt I have ever stayed at. The overall staff was absent-minded, and no one ever answered the front desk phone or room service. Several times we had to run downstairs to communicate with the front desk. There are no bathrobes in the hotel, which is the first time I have encountered this.
FFanny2797The hotel is located in beautiful location, especially for traveller that come to Melbourne for the first time. Close to Skybus drop off point (from airport and go to airport), close to tram stop (free tram zone). And a lot of restaurants nearby.
Therefore, when I first checked in. Our room is particularly small and looks old. Even the smell is like old wet wood. The chain lock is not working, but the automatic lock is working well. And the fridge is leaking.
One of the staff is very patient and helpful, she brings the room spray, called the maintenance staff to fix the lock and brings towel to wipe the water from the fridge. She told us that the maintenance staff could only come the next day.
Therefore, my friend was not happy about the situation, professionally when we checked in, everything should be ready for the customer to stay. Well she is a hospitality professional so I also agree with her.
So we asked the staff that assisted us about changing room, she told us to call the receptionist. When my friend call the receptionist explaining the situation, one lady in receptionist just keep denying and keep telling us the lock is not broken, the fridge not leaking just someone defrost it. Meanwhile she didn’t see the situation herself, which make my friend more upset because she feels like the receptionist just accuse her that she make up all the stories.
Luckily another friendly male receptionist helps us and shows us the only room available in our room type, my friend about to cancel the whole booking before that. And we agreed to take the room. The room is more spacious, hot shower running well (no bathtub), lock is working, and the fridge working. The downside just a little bit dusty on the surface of everything and I found a pack of opened ketchup (probably from previous guest) next to the bed. The pillow and blanket is not comfortable compared to another hotel in the same level.
Do I like the location? Yes. Do I like the service? Yes, everyone doing their best except one. Do they help with luggage before and after check out? Yes, very good point on that. Is it clean? Probably no, but bearable. If you go for efficiency, this place is the one. If you go for comfort, I don’t really recommend this.
GGuest UserGood price and location. I was booked somewhere else but due to their mistake I had to book somewhere else at the last minute. If I had any complaints it would be that the ac didn’t seem to be working. Perhaps I wasn’t operating it correctly but I believe I was but even so there were no instructions on how to operate it. My room was on the opposite side to the lifts and it’s quite a walk to get to them. I didn’t try the restaurant because you’re in the middle of Melbourne why would you. All in all a good experience and I’d stay there again.
BBee LoongPrepaid S$575.33 for booking a room for 2nights from May 22-24. Front desk charged to my credit card again upon checkout for A$586.16 (S$543.59). He didnt realise the double charge until I brought to his attention. He apologised and reversed the charge, & assured me there wont be a credit card admin fee charged. However, when I received my credit card statement, it shows I was charged S$39.04 being FX & bank fee for the mistake the front desk staff made. I’ve been following up with Sheraton MEL since July 10 on this matter but no news after July 26 when I gave the bank information as requested by Mr Kajal Gaurav to process the refund.
Till today Aug 21, I have yet to receive the refund. I have emailed several times to Sheraton but no one is replying. I am still waiting to hear from anyone copied in the email correspondence to provide an explanation and if I will still be receiving $39.04.
Meanwhile, I’d still like to thank David, the housekeeping staff, who was extremely helpful during my stay.
GGuest UserWe booked and paid for a deluxe written room which looked really move in the pics on the website. The room we ended up with was a family room which was nothing like the pics and when I tried to talk to one of the staff about this he acted like he didn't understand what the issue was and asked if we wanted him to take some of the beds out of the room. Pretty disgusted. Also the bed was like sleeping on a slab of cement
