Never booked through Trip.com for Golden Tulip hotel. They have no direct agreement with hotel. I had to wait till midnight to get the room as hotel said No Booking Made for us whereas I booked online and paid prior 6 months and rechecked with Trip to ensure the booking. It was terrible experience I had there. My kids were sick, sitting in the lobby for 3-4 hrs to solve the issue. The told to check with any nearest hotel to get alternate room but unfortunately nothing was available at that time. Luckily, a third party agent came and managed to get a room at the end.
Hotel lobby is good but room condition very poor. Floor carpet full of dust n marks. Pillow cover, quilt had the marks. Even we discovered bed bugs!!! Bathroom shower screen was too small, water came out and made wet all over the bathroom while taking shower. Water leaking from bathroom roof!! Crazy experience, spent over AUS $250 per night and service boys only come if you call and request to give something. Luckily, I managed them to provide some extra linen, towel etc

The worst service I have ever seen in the holy city of Madina.
They don't know about the hospitality of their customers.
Dirty washrooms.
Very delayed check in......In my case they allowed me to check in at 5:30 PM.
You will be on their mercy

This is the worst hotel I have come accross. I was booked in for today but went and found another hotel because I could not stay here. The hotel is filthy and it stinks. The rooms are dirty and not cleaned. The beds were stained and smelt horrid, the electrics were exposed and there was so much dust. I got antibacterial wipes and started cleaning the room but trust me when I say no matter how much you clean it, it will still be filthy and smell horrid. I paid a lot more to book into another hotel but I did not see any other option. AVOID!!

doesn't reach to 2 star, ignore staff , receptionist don't speak English, basic rooms, every thing you see is broken and dirty, room bad basic, wouldn't recommend for family with kids, only good thing about this place is close to Haram. so over crowded lifts you have to wait at least 10 minutes to get a lift.
