The room was small compared to the other rooms I booked through another booking engine. The toiletries were different too. The front desk were incompetent. The housekeeping and bellmen were good.

The entire restaurant team is disappointed with the lack of professionalism from the manager to the chefs. We paid for an international buffet that is more expensive than Asian buffets, but did not receive any information, which led us to eat at the Asian buffet until we became upset. They then apologized. Is this the way a five-star establishment should operate? The rooms are spacious, but lack maintenance and cleaning. The dirty carpets and cheap fragrance quality make it feel less like a 5-star experience, causing dizziness and a sense of low quality.
Response from Property: Thank you, Mr.Saqib, for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we will do everything possible to address the issues you've mentioned. We would love the opportunity to make it right for you on a future visit. This is for those booking for Umrah and more specifically for Ramadhan 2025. The staff here are probably the most fake I have ever experienced through out my global travels. They treat seniors differently primarily because they are a target whilst leaving all others to struggle on their own. If their concern was seniors, as an infectious disease expert, I can categorically state, Al Aqeeq is one of the most unhygienic, infectious soups, bug spreading party platforms. Room service came in daily and did nothing, leaving the washroom as is with towels even dirtier with mud from their shoes, toilets were not cleaned. Their idea of room service is making the bed and refilling toilet paper. I am specifically addressing my colleagues in the fraternity, if you want to achieve your spiritual endeavors and have seniors, or are traveling with an immunocompromised individual, please do not book here. It is a fish market with no tongs and all fingers in foods right at the reception area. Following check-in, I was forced to purchase 2 big bottles of sanitizer and wash down all surfaces in the room, and successively did daily. The rooms right at check in were unclean with muck smeared at the basin and shower areas. The receptionist didnt care to register our concerns and no one will help a young individual with baggage at arrival. We booked from Nairobi, Kenya with the travel agency Marhaba where the agent Nurjahan marketed this hotel as a 5 star. This is a blatant lie. This is a 2 star. Please be cautious of agents who insist they will not process an umrah visa unless they book the entire hotel package too. Often times, it is a gateway of fraud dealings between the agent and hotel. When I tried to seek help from a Adham Elshrbeny in Madinah who works for Al Aqeeq, he ignored my concerns...because here's the thing...once you have paid in full, nothing can be done about the reservation and you cant get out of there, even if you fear for your health. Do they care that you are from the Medical fraternity and have to return to work? no! Do they care you may expose others who are majorly immunocompromised? NO! My friends of the medical fraternity or for those who do not want seniors to get sick, I would highly discourage you to book here. The engagement of sensibility is encouraged in our religion. Beware of fraudsters, both in your home country and fake staff in hotels, ready to manipulate your minds...seniors are usually most vulnerable to this mental game. Book at your own risk

Nice hotel in general for Madina the location is the most important in order to be close to haram I like the way of the staff; they are really polite and ready to help Breakfast is mostly Asian, is my option chef has to take extra care of bakery. Hotel needs renovation specifically the bathroom and the full furniture. One major obstacle the lighting system very complicated which no need in a hotel But for sure I’ll be back for location and helpful staff.

The hotel is in a great location just a short walk to Masjid Nabawi which is very convenient for prayers. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the air conditioning had a bad smell which was unpleasant. If they fix this issue, it would be perfect

This hotel truly felt like a home away from home, located just steps away from the Prophet’s Mosque. The property is clean, well-maintained, and ideal for a comfortable stay. Although the elevators are a bit small, everything else was excellent. The breakfast was delightful, and the room service was exceptional. The area is surrounded by plenty of shops, making it convenient for buying gifts, especially if you’re traveling with parents. Highly recommend this hotel for its comfort and location!

I stayed in Al aqeeq for 4 nights whilst travelling for Umrah. It's literally 5min walking distance to the Masjid Nabawi. You can see the masjid as soon as you cross the road. The hotel it self, provided, fridge, water everyday and tea and coffee station. The breakfast was decent and they had an egg station which I thought was fabulous. The only let down to breakfast for me as it's a personal preference was they didn't provide alternative milk for those who have allergies, I brought my own. The hotel staff especially the ones that cleaned up your room were so helpful, went out of their way to ask as how was our day, if we needed anything etc. The room itself was spacious, I liked the bathroom, it was bright and had a hair dryer. The view was nice too, u can see abit of the masjid.

I'm sat in a room on the third floor inside the hotel in my room writing this review, as, yet again, another family that is noisy with their children banging the walls has moved in next door and i can hear everything due to the interconnecting doors that are locked but allow for noise to come through easily. This is the second family in the 5 day stay here (we are leaving early tomorrow morning thankfully) who have behaved in this way. It's not the hotels fault of course but the connecting doors need to be removed. Onto the pro's and con's. Pros: across the road from the haram and good for both women and mens gate entrances; amenities all close by; the house keeping staff are very helpful and attend to your needs very quickly with a smile and so please do tip; Cons: noise seeps through the walls or connecting doors; the cafe downstairs charges variable rates depending on who you are - yet they give an appearance of "professionalism", lol; if you're wanting internet connection, it is slow/cuts out and not the best; the electricity cut out twice during the 5 day stay meaning the TV and phone had to be reset by staff and the fridge started melting; they'll put you on the 13th or 14th floors and you wont think twice but you'll need to request at check in that you want a lower floor (we did this and came to learn of other families doing the same after the realisation of the lift problems); there's a queue for the lifts and you can spend sometime there waiting; the lift doors regularly trap folk in my experience as they close quite quickly, so be quick; and finally, it is a hotel that has dated decor and there was mould on the shower so definitely NOT 5 star, more like 4 or 3.
Response from Property: Dear valuable guest, Thank you, for your review. We're sorry to hear that your stay was average. We'd appreciate it if you could provide us with additional details about any specific areas where we could improve. We sincerely value your feedback, and we always strive to offer an exceptional experience to all our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to surpass your expectations during your next visit. The hotel overall was ok but its claims to be 5 star which is misleading and mistakenly categorised as 5 sstar.I think ot should be 3 star and nothing more The female reception staffs were great and hardworking and very helpful. Unfortunately some of the housekeeping boys were very rude and totally unhelpful. The hotel should really look into this as they ruin the hotel's reputation. However, there was 1 boy who actually did all he could to make up for all the shortcomings of the other house keeping boys.... I can't recall his name unfortunately. The rooms was old and carpets were dirty. The water kept leaking out of the shower area and the hotel couldn't fix it...they said it's normal. I guess it is normal! The harem is only a 2 mins walk and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel rate was a lot cheaper if walk in than booking direct or via the applications.i saved about SR 1000.00 Yes!!!! They should keep a weighing machine for the lugguage as its a service definitely required by guests who want to weigh their check in lugguages. Most hotels do. The switches in the rooms were very challenging to get used to. Many switches. Need to time to learn to use them. The air-conditioning keeps switching off automatically and we had to switch them back on every now and them. For the price and distance to harem, i will recomend this hotel definitely. If they could only improve on housekeeping staffs, and cleanliness of the carpets, and fix the shower issue, this hotel can really be highly recommended.

Very disappointing experience. Duty manager was very rude and gave us a terrible room with no view. After request for room change promised to change it but did not do so. Room had dump smell. I would never book this hotel. Service is very bad. Only good thing was that reception behaved nice.
