Arrived at the hotel in the evening, no one worked after nine, checked into the hotel, there was no just how to check in at the door, no signs at all, needed to rebook the hotel to request a refund, the hotel did not say a reason to refuse a refund, this was an unpleasant hotel booking experience!

I stayed in Mechelen because it was closer to the music festival town. The apartment I booked was pretty good. It was larger, clean and tidy. It had a large floor-to-ceiling window, which was very bright. There was a kitchen where you could cook your own food. The bed is not very big, a one-meter single bed, the bedding is clean, and the mattress is quite comfortable.

Als je het hebt over een hotel dan ga je uit van een lobby, een aantrekkelijke entree, een onderhouden lift, een ruime kamer met goede douche, een schone kamer, een veilig balkon, onderhouden gangen met vaste plafondlampen, redelijke rust op de gangen. Helaas… alles behalve dit was in deze ‘residence’ het geval. Vies, rumoerig, veel arbeiders die hun woning hiervan hebben gemaakt, slechte lift (laatste keuring volgens het bordje 1984!!!) Geen lobby, een voordeur met kettingen vastgemaakt, reling op het balkon van minder dan 50cm hoog (dus onveilig…), name it. Bedden waren redelijk. Je kunt het geen hotel noemen. Meer een kamerverhuurbedrijf.

Really poor!
The location is right in the centre of Mechelen, but the inside condition is poor in all aspects.
Cleaning is below average, furniture needs some upgrades. I had 2 set of towels, 1 clean, 1 not. No amenities in bathroom, only a phon with a thick layer of dust.
I would not recommend to professionals nor to a family looking for a cheap accomodation
