Trim Castle Hotel

Couldn't recommend Trim Castle Hotel enough. From the minute we booked our wedding with them they were a dream to deal with. We had an absolutely brilliant day and everything ran so smoothly from the very start. Big shout out to Laima and team for everything in the main room, everything was perfect and just ran so smoothly with no stress whatever. Another highlight of the day was Elvis behind the bar, the speed and quality in which he got through our guests orders was amazing meaning nobody was waiting any time at all for a drink, not only that but also a really lovely guy. Finally, a bit thank you to our wedding coordinator Lauren Skelton who went above and beyond for us from word go, nothing was too much hassle, she ensured everything was on time and going to plan which freed us up to have the brilliant day we did. Her service was a big reason we had such a wonderful day. We would recommend anyone looking for a special venue for their special day. Thanks again to all the team at Trim Castle hotel for giving us a day we won't forget.

Visited the hotel for drinks. Cocktails are very good quality and affordable! Niamh behind the bar suggested the espresso martinis and they didn’t disappoint! Ciara are server was also very bubbly and chatty. Overall very good experience. All bar staff are lovely!

Very friendly staff when I arrived and plenty of free parking. I got a spotlessly clean room with plenty of workspace, the coffee maker in the room is a nice touch. The hotel is only 10 mins walk from the town centre. As it was a quiet Tuesday night I ate in the hotel restaurant which was good value. Breakfast, included with the room, was served in the main restaurant and it was nice to have a freshly cooked fry up, not the usual lukewarm buffet most hotels seem to have now. Looking forward to staying again in a few weeks time.

Beautiful hotel very old and Victorian Staff friendly and on point food and drink beautiful and reasonable. Stunning grounds and history. Downside - hotel is not disabled friendly far to many steps if on a chair or like myself limited mobility issues on a stick a lot of stairs to go to to get to reception then back down and across a court yard to rooms with again more stair to get up and down again and across courtyard for dinner and more stairs and back again for breakfast. They could do with making it more disabled friendly and maybe a little golf cart for transportation a round Stairs steep and windy .

A little piece of heaven in the Westmeath countryside. From the moment you arrive you are transported back to a kinder and gentler time. We arrived on a rainy Fall day but the scenery couldn’t have been more beautiful. The view of the lake over the rolling hills and countless white sheep is spectacular. We were met at the front door by the owner, Verity and one or her two dogs Nutmeg. Verity informed us that we would have the house to ourselves that night and led us to the Copper Beech room our lovely accommodation for the night. Verity invited us to get settled and then join her down stairs. A wonderfully gracious host, she served us hot tea and fresh baked lemon cake in front of a warm fire in the sitting room. While there, she made several dinner suggestions and gave us a key to the house so that we could come and go as we please. We took a walk through the grounds, walking amongst the sheep and marveling at the beautiful vistas. Our room was spotlessly clean and bright with a wonderful king bed and soaking tub. The next morning we had a traditional breakfast in the dining room at a beautifully decorated table looking across the fields at the lake. Breakfast was perfect and we spent some time getting to know our host. What a gem! The whole experience was magical and we will surely be back!
