Hotel Edenlehen

The Edenlehen has three great assets, lovely well equipped rooms where everything worked, Excellent food and very helpful staff. The hotel has focussed on getting these basics right and offers very good value for money. Visitors should be aware however that, unlike some other areas in the Tirol, the guest cards and Zillertal cards offered to guests in this area are effectively useless so you have to pay for everything you want to do in the area, even the local bus services, some of which are quite expensive. The setting of the Hotel Edenlehen on a working farm with turkeys, hens, goats etc. and an avenue lined with pear trees lends a lovely setting even though it is just a stones throw from Mayrhofen. A downside of this is that there tend to be flies within the hotel which many people will find unpleasant. Overall Hotel Edenlehen offers a great base for a holiday in the Zillertal area.

Hotel Edenlehen, Mayrhofen, Austria Access: It is super accessible, 5 minutes drive (or taxi) from Mayrhofen Bahnhof (train station), and the skibus (circuit route E) stops right at the main gate (the bus stop is 'Edenlehen'). Room: We booked a standard double room with a nice balcony viewing a flat ground covered with snow in our stay as well as the Penkenba}}n ppgondola. The flat ground seems to be a popular landing spot of paragliding so we had taken several nice photos with the gondola as the backdrop and the paragliders gliding towards us. According to the website, the room was re-fitted recently. We found the deco simple and stylish, the layout was very user friendly with sufficient space and cabinets. The bed was quite soft in my opinion, but surprisingly provided enough support. The ventilation in the bathroom was excellent. Food: I booked the hotel as she promoted self-grown products and high quality deliquencies. I didn't realise how lucky we were, not until we had our first meal (dinner). We could taste and feel the excellence that the chef was seeking in every dish and food offered. While we had dru whichnk so many cups of coffee in this journey, that from the among the best. And for whoever want to eat in the hotel, please ensure some space left for the dessert. One would regret for not trying. (I don't know about wine but all the wine I tried tasted very good) Service: This is the climax as the hotel has provided outstanding hospitality and service. Almost full house in all the days we stayed, the team of restaurant staff were extremely efficient and attentive for the guests. My boyfriend got sick and I asked if they could make vegetable soup when they were less busy (its at the peak time of dinner). I expected they would make it after some time, but amazingly they cook it immediately. We were so thankful for their service and its indeed very enjoyable simply to see them working with superb professionalism. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.
