I was recently studying in the town of ballina and I was recommended to visit mount falcon for the month I was here, I recently started using the spa and leisure centre and the two lovely girls working in the leisure centre were extremely helpful and friendly towards me, I look forward staying again .

The building and grounds are lovely but the overall experience is lacklustre. Breakfast is just ok with overcooked rashers, tasteless eggs and an empty fruit bowl on both mornings (though the servers were very nice and the room is beautiful). Dinner was fine but a touch rushed and expensive given the quality. The reception staff were not friendly and were not terribly helpful. An issue with our sink was quickly sorted, so that was a positive note. But I was reprimanded when checking out for relying on what I was told when making the reservation. We left with a sour taste. Definitely not what you would expect from a four star hotel. Have to say that we would not go back.

We stayed here for a couple of days to take a break from our travels around Ireland. This is a lovely hotel with a very nice spa and various activities available locally. We enjoyed walking down by the river and through the grounds. The restaurant was very good and we had some excellent meals during our visit.

All round pleasant experience - the bedroom was spacious, well furnished with comfortable bed. The bathroom was user friendly. The public rooms were comfortable and varied. A strong point is the swimming pool and small spa (did not try treatments). The dinner in the restaurant was very good with wide menu and wine list. Staff were universally friendly and professional. We would definitely return for an autumn or spring break.

Beautiful, beautiful hotel, the ground were majestic! the room was like stepping back in time, it's well done with period pieces, bathroom was perfect, clean and very very accommodating with all essentials needed. There was a huge fireplace in the front foyer and it smelled lt was wonderful, the linens could definitely use updating, it is my understanding from our tour guide that the hotel is for sale and I think the upkeep is a little off, but I'd go back.

Compliments to Management and staff who greatly added to our stay in the West Particular mention for reception Manager who sorted voucher issue Also Clodagh who is just a fantastic therapist in the spa. Spa manager needed to make a better effort to leave message re a change of appointment due to staff issue Grounds staff/Gardeners do an exceptional job! Bar and Resturant staff are so friendly Breakfast was super! (Staff were slow to remove used dishes and offer fresh tea/coffee) Full joint of ham on breakfast options was a lovely touch

Lovely hotel, beautiful grounds, very helpful staff. But, and this is no reflection whatsoever ever on the waiting staff, they can only serve when food is ready. Attended a wedding recently, and although the food itself was great, food service was frankly diabolical. Sat down at 5.15, got starters at approximately 7.15, and didn’t get main course till about 8.30. Management need to review how they do this, I wouldn’t recommend this as a wedding venue for that reason. Pity, lovely place.

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff are excellent, surroundings are idyllic and the ‘tent’ is a great addition. We enjoyed an extremely good meal there being served by very friendly knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed a relaxing stay in a fabulous venue.

My son and I stayed here for three nights as part of an 8 day golfing vacation. Our stay was outstanding. The rooms were wonderfully appointed, with a spacious room and bathroom. The staff were friendly and very professional. The breakfast provided as part of our room rate was excellent - hot and cold options. The grounds were fabulous; felt like we were staying in our own Manor! If in the Ballina area, stay here. You won’t regret it!
