If you want to feel the Mauritius vibes, come! The resort is so pretty. The pool is spacious and deep. And it was great that the staff member kanen's messages on whatsapp quickly listened to and addressed my requirements! kanen is best butler!!

We are very disappointed with our recent stay at Shanti Maurice and feel compelled to share our experience, especially since this trip was meant to celebrate our 10-year anniversary—a special occasion that deserved far better. From the moment we arrived, the service and overall experience fell well below expectations. To start, we were shocked to find a multitude of trash and construction bags scattered next to the entrance of our room—hardly the welcome you’d expect from a five-star resort. We had booked what was advertised as a spacious suite/family room, but the reality was quite different. The room was significantly smaller than pictured, and a key issue was the bunk bed for our children—crammed into a corner, visibly old and worn. This was not communicated at any point during booking. The hotel also appears to inflate the listed room size by including the external shower area in the square footage, which feels misleading. When we raised these concerns with management, there was no real attempt to resolve them. The only option offered was to pay for an upgrade at €900 per night, which felt out of touch given the issues we flagged. The room also showed visible signs of wear and tear, and even basic comforts were missing—such as not enough towels for a family of four. What made this even more disappointing is the contrast with other hotels we stayed at during this trip in Mauritius. Every other property exceeded expectations—some even offered complimentary upgrades without us asking, showing true hospitality and a guest-first mindset. We strongly recommend exploring other options on the island. For the price and reputation, Shanti Maurice did not deliver, and unfortunately, it left us feeling let down on what should have been a memorable and joyful occasion.
